Really depends where you are hun it varies ALOT! but if you want to budget i'd say at least £500 to cover everything (that doesnt include the room hire if your having civil for example my registra and legal costs etc are 420.50 and the room hire is 300)

Best thing i can say is talk to your local church or reg office and see what their costs are

Our church is costing us £500, we thought that was really expensive but there was no question in my mind that i would get married anywhere else so we are paying it.

Our Church is £600, including choir and bell ringing. i imagine you can find it cheaper elsewhere, but you'd need to go to your parish centre. Would be £435 without bells and choir for us.x

Our church is £639 for ceremony, verger costs, organists and organ maintenance (it's a unique organ and apparently very famous) and a fee to allow the photographer to come in.

it's really a case of going and finding out. We have 2 options, option 1 is £400 plus registra and all those other bits and bobs like food and entertainment (which we can source our selves). Option 2 the venue is having a refurb and we will wait for it to open before we decide on it (they will probably have a package which we will have to use for food).

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do

Our church is costing £230 which includes organise, church donation and registrar fees. They do vary a lot though as my friend got married in her CofE church down the road and it cost £600. Mine is catholic so not sure if it varies depending on what the church is. x

Registry office is costing us around £100. We looked at getting married at a hotel, but the prices just rocketed up and we decided in the end it wasn't worth it. Plus our potential reception venues are within walking distance of the registry office so it's working out quite nicely and all within budget atm!

If you are on a budget but still want the church wedding you can have the legal side of it done in the registry office and then have a blessing in the church in which you just pay for the extras like the organ, bells etc and the blessing itself is donation based.

In terms of churches I know the fee for the ceremony varies on religion/denomination. As far as I'm aware there is a set fee in CofE of around £250 (don't quote me??) then you pay for extras such as bells organist choir photo/video rights. A catholic ceremony is free, but again all the extra bits. All churches vary, you just have to ask xx

Our church quoted us £620 with bells, choir etc. If we dont have bells and choir it saves us £120. The CofE give a set figure then the church adds charges for heat, light etc and then the choir, organist, bell ringers set their own fees. Thats how the vicar broke it down for me as i was stunned at the price.

The CofE website has a section just for vicars and on there is guidance for vicars on church charges. I must admit i felt a bit diddled after reading that but it is so important to h2b to get married in that church so i've just got to get on with it.

we are getting married on a weekend in crewe hall and crewes registrar claims that by 2012 it may be around the 600 mark? Not impressed as remember you have to take into account the room hire charge. Ours was 900 so quite expensive for 30 minutes :s

The church we were originally going to get married in was going to cost around £520, but we are looking at having a civil ceremony at Barnsdale Gardens which will cost around £1000 with the cost of the registrar to come out and marry us. A bit more but we want a day to remember with lovely photographs in all the different gardens they have there, but if you are on a budget it can cost as little as £100. x

really does depend, for the register office where we live it was £120 for everything, we have now booked a church and that has cost £550. Our church is church of england so you dont have to pay for register person to come out but with catholic you have to pay extra
