We were originally having fish bowls with clear crystals in the bottom and a burgandy flowerhead in the centre of the bowl with ivory grass with little candles round the outside and the price was adding up!! But yesterday my partner i thought had a good idea, he was playing with his little girl and making birds and flowers out of origami (not sure if thats how you spell it!!) and he then said about making the lillies in a burgandy colour and putting a little ivory paper lily in the centre of that one, (if that makes sense) We're going to get some paper this weekend to see if it can be done as they would have to be bigger than an A4 sheet of paper, but i started thinking about it and i could do that and put them on a mirror plate with my LED candles around the outside. What does everyone think?? Be honest!!!

i think its a very individual idea, struggling to imagine it but if its gonna be how i think itl look fab!!!!!! i do love the fishbowl with the flower head thing but a lot of people do seem to be doin that nowadays...i think its a brill way 2 both cut costs n involve the family ie h2b!!! x x x go 4 it!!! x x

Thanks girls! I will try and put a picture on my photo album once we've done a trial one and see what people think then ha ha! I know what you mean about the fishbowls, i did think i'd seen alot of them, but yes i think the lilys have won!! I'll tell my partner later and i think he'll be happy one of his ideas has won!! xxx

Hey Avril, the only reason i am having LED candles is because most of our tables have got children on between the ages of 1 & 8 and they like to grab things so i thought this would be a safer option rather than having real candles where they can burn themselves, does that make sense??? xxx

It's very sensible. We're having real candles, and the only child who won't be in a high chair is six, and if she burns her fingers I will laugh becuase she is a horrible spoilt child and I don't like her ... the only reason she's being invited is becuase she's h2b's niece.

Just read that back ... I sound like a really nasty person! I'm not (honestly) she is a demanding little princess who needs some discipline but her parents won't do it. h2b is having to speak to his sister about her behaviour, he's said that if she plays up during the ceremony he will stop it to ask her parents to take her oustide.

Mel i totally understand, my h2b's nephews are terrible, they are 13, 6 & 3 and they all run around and cause problems and the mouths on them, it would make you die if you heard the language they use, i mean a 3 year old using the 'f' word and just other words that i won't type. I have told him if i hear any of that i want them to be taken home or just taken away until they calm down as there are other small children coming to our wedding and i'd hate to have them influenced. (strangley enough his neice is a pleasant little girl, she's 11 and despite her brothers use of all the swear words under the sun she is a joy to be around!) xxx
