Hi Dede and welcome! I'm having an Alice in Wonderland theme and I am planning on white manzanita tree's with three green topiary balls inside the branches each lit on the inside with white and red roses to portray the "Paint the Roses Red" scene. There will be moss on the bottom where I will have a vintage oval picture frame with a Wonderland character inside for the table name.

    wooooooah they are fab!!!

You got a theme Dede? We are having film and tv, so our centrepieces represent each table, rather than have them all matching.

A Game of Thrones table is having dragon eggs in a nest

Im attempting to make a polystyrene StarBug for the red Dwarf Table

The Lost table is having some paper Dharma lunch bags and a teddy polar bear (we were really stuck with ideas for that table hahahahahah)

Velcro - in keeping with the disappointing ending to Lost maybe you could instruct the venue to not serve that table any desert.

Velcro... my man just asked if he can marry you instead because he LOVES Red Dwarf (his handle on anything online is Tarka Dahl and his best mate is Binji Baji) Don't get me wrong, I like it, but he loves it.

I love you're idea for GoT, have you thought about X-Files/Fringe, Buffy, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, Starsky & Hutch, for the oldies you can have Corrie/Family Fortunes!

Also OH says you could rig up a timer to be reset if you're handy with electronics for your Lost Table

    Hahahahahaha easy tiger!!! xD

I wouldn't even have the first clue about electronics and the timer.... that sounds like such a good idea though, h2b is even more clueless than me, but il have to remember that one and see what he suggests!!

We've got a buffy table, but im really struggling for the centre piece for that one, liked the idea of a stake on a spell book, but cant find a spell book hahahaha! trying to remember what else we have now.... Community (if you haven't seen it, you so should lol) Howls Moving Castle (love my Japanese stuff) The Matrix - struggling with that one too! Scott Pilgrim vs The World, also a ****! Oh The Walking Dead, I joked about putting the oldies on that one hahahaha. erm, Breaking Bad and lOrd of the rings, think that's them all

Ours is a really geeky theme, its in the science and industry museum and im walking down the aisle to music from a video game lol

Velcro... you're awsome. Can I come to your wedding? I'll bring a packed lunch but I really want to see it!

Have you tried G@@gling spell book props? you could find some good ones. Maybe a cucifix, Stake, Claddagh ring and a set of vampire dentures?

Matrix is a difficult one... could have oversized red and blue pills in it with a figures of the characters... Oh their sunglasses and an old style mobile phone! Find something you can fill with matrix green coloured liquid (using food colouring) and use submersible LED's to light it up... OH has added "you get a baby doll and hook it up with plugs"... not sure how that would go down *looks at OH concerned*

The Scott Pilgrim one you could do amazing stuff with, love that movie, Breaking Bad you can buy a bag (or make it) of fake Meth and have the Heisenberg hat and a model of the original mobile home. I think you should definitely pop the oldies on Walking Dead, if they have a good sense of humour ;)

PS What video game music are you using? I saw a tube video of someone proposing via the game Portal, he managed to get the woman who did the voice for GLADoS to be in on it too. Really sweet :D

Hahahahaha doll with plugs sounds amazing, id love to see the faces of whoever was sat there.... though id probably play it safe and put my friends there, I don't mind if they are disgusted with me lol

    Final Fantasy music :D

wish id thought about the hat for Heisenberg... such an easy idea... dammit.... we found a 3D picture, but I might see if he wants to change it as I prefer that idea.

She's probably thinking we're proper nerds hahahaha, and I don't need to buy the hat as my mums got one from work, woohoo!!! Just need to dye it, coz its blue lol, ordered some blue stone things off the internet to scatter and gunna look for some sunglasses when I pop out to get the kid from school, but that inspired me for my walking dad table!! ive bought a sheriffs hat and some crossbow bolts (hope im allowed those hahahahaha) im gunna stab them through the hat and put blood splatters on it.

You and your h2b are my new best mates at the moment, im well on a roll!

Im gunna see if I can buy a coconut, cant say ive seen any recently, but ive not been looking, so I can paint it for my Howls moving castle table, to resemble this guy

    Calcifer_Sketch_by_GhostGriffin.png
    Calcifer_Sketch_by_GhostGriffin.png

ive had such a mental block recently, but its all flowing now woohoo!!!

Looking again for buffy on ebay, I did try to search spell books, but tbh all I was getting was note books... bah. Lord of the Rings is stumping me too, there is literally SO much we can do for it, but everything seems really expensive for this one. and again, the matrix

also, tom bought a lich king mega blox thing, so we could fall back on a warcraft table, so with all we have we are two tables over, so it does give us room to breath if we really struggle with any.

For the LOTR one you could get a cheap version of some jewellery from it... Maybe make the Hobbit hole? could do that with paper mache and faux moss and maybe a Gandalf and Frodo figurine with Gollum hiding on the other side of the Hobbithole, You could use multiple "One Rings" to act as napkin holders? You would have to make them though but if you g@@gle "one ring" you can find the elvish text used and maybe transfer that on a spray painted cold ring?

Have you thought of a MineCraft table? A WarCraft table sounds great though :D

    I have mental blocks a lot, but that's because it's who I am ;)

We've got a music theme and each centre piece will represent the work of a musician. Start from your theme if you have one, otherwise think about the colours that you like.

Neither of us play minecraft, that would be so easy though...i think il have to come back to the LoTR table, maybe after ive done my starbug, if thats not a total disaster il have a go at making a hobbit hole lol!

and i didnt get a coconut for calcifer, i have large polystyrene balls, i think they are more of a sensible idea than painting big dobbing coconuts hahahaha

lol very likely much easier. You could wrap the ball in red, yellow and orange cellophane wrap? and then do the face over that? Not sure how to get the cellophane to stick right though :-/
