For those of you on a budget I went to Ikea at the weekend and bought 30 x 1l jars with the flicky down air tight lids! They were £1.01 each! I intend to fill with sweets, wrap ribbon round them tie in a big bow and put a big glittery butterfly on the opposite side to the bow and then attach my ballons on ribbon to the hinge so they can be opened for people to take sweeties out and my balloons are not going to flop everywhere! Just an idea for those on a budget! Hoping they turn out ok! Will make them up once I get paid and buy all the rest of the stuff and will post a piccie on my albums!!

That sounds so pretty! I have a few of those jars in my kitchen, use them to store rice and pasta and they are great. Have you thought about what you'll use for people to get the sweets out? I'm making up my own sweetie buffet and I've brought ice cream scoops. x

Yeh would be great for a pic :) i know ikea is brill, i have bought church candles from there for my centre peices, they were much cheaper thsn buying them anywhere else. I also managed to pick up tealight holders 12 in a pack for £1.50 again another bargain from ikea :D its brill too as my closest ikea is in croydon, where as my h2b family lives down the road from the largest one in the country so i get them to grab all the bits for me :D

I am enlisting help from my bridesmaid Anna on this as soon as we have done a few I will upload piccies! Hoping it won't take too long to do! Just trawling on websites trying to find cheap balloons, ribbons etc! Bay of E is fab but once you have bought things from different shops the postage bumps up the price so trying to find a shop I can get nearly everything from!I love Ikea! I would live there if I could! Haha! Nearest one to me in Milton Keynes which is about 40 mins away! Im thinking of buying little scoops or ice cream scoop! Be good if I could find miniture ones! xxx

I have been thinking about getting sweets but just not sure i could do it that cheap, but those jars sound good, i have seen heart marshmellows in the sale from valentines day and i also do want to get some custom made m and m's they are amazing and i think i will have these regardless of if i have a sweet table or not.

If you keep your sweets big like Marshmellows then you shouldn't need to buy very many as they fill the jar up pretty quick! Failing that do you know anyone with a bookers card )cash n carry) or wholesale place??? xx
