Ok, so the pics of my centre pieces are in my photos.

despite telling the person that made them it was for an 80cm vase, the stems on the lilies are short and the roses are about an inch!! But the greenery she taped them to is really ugly.

I totally hate them, if I take away the green stuff its too bare, Ive tried to use just a bit of it, but it looks weird with the roses attached. Can anyone recommend anything I can do to fix these, or would you suggest scrapping the lot and starting again?

Its really upsetting me, the green stuff is plastic and looks like something you'd get if you were buying toys for a kid :(

i like them, they look fine to me. the only other thing you could do is get some greenery for yourself and see how that works. x

this is only my opinion Nic and i dont wish to upset you but I think that the greenery needs to go as it swamps the centrepieces flowers totally, I always think with a tall vase that the simpler the design is better and so one calla lily, one rose and a wee bit of the grass reed stuff that can be made spirally is enough to do the trick and look glamorous. Have added a wee picture link on your wall of something on the same wavelength as I mean. xx

if you have a local florist that also does artificial flowers, take your stuff into them. They would be able to advise on something that would make them look just the way you wanted them too, and am sure it wouldnt cost that much either?

thank you June - I know they are awful arent they! cannot beleive this woman is still in business!!

Anyway, I love the pic your sent me, but the main problem with that is that the stems of the roses are actually 1 inch long!! So I have to attach them to something else to get them in there.

    This is making me

Hails, I got them off the bay of e. I am on a rubbish connection here, but I will send ya the link once I'm home later x

Attaching the roses to the stems of the calla lilies (as noticed you have at least 2 in your vase) with some gardening wire would work, you can buy it in any garden store and its green plastic covered so less likely to be seen too. If you struggle to get some, I have some spare here that I can post down to you no worries. Wish I lived closer as I would be round like a shot to try and help. xx

TOO much green! I agree, you need more flowers and less/ no leaves. I think the white lillies with the long grass stalks would look perfect! If all else fails, I'd keep the vases as they are lovely, and just get some new flowers. It must be horrible for you not to have what you asked for :( google lilly vases and see what they have in them for ideas? hope you get it fixed babes x

Don't ditch them, there is nothing wrong with the flowers, everyone is right though, too much greenery, simple can be so much more of a statement, and very elegant. Maybe just have spiral bamboo with your flowers. And i think you notice little things so much more than anyone else as it is your wedding. The fact that there are beads in the vase, it isn't noticable that the stem is too short. They will look lovely! And everyone will be looking at how lovely you look to be bothered about the flowers, i think brides just like having them, lol. xxx
