    Help!!!
Im trying to find different ideas for centerpieces me and h2b are having a royal blue silver & white colour scheme for Chelsea fc. The name tags table plan and kiddies favours will be footy orientated but i didnt want the whole table to be taken over by footy. I have been looking a fish bowls with floating candles or flowers (gerbera's/ roses) I really do like things to be unique and to make a statement. But im really not sure of centerpieces. I did read earlier about a wish tree...i did like the idea...but again not 100%.
    Any advice?

I bought some tall martini glass style candles with glitter string around them. and Some large butterflies to put on them, (If your theme is footy maybe they won't be suited lol) and i got some little packs of wedding confetti with doves in to sprinkle on the tables. thought it would make a change from the usual flowers, how about large martini glasses with Chocolate's in or something? just an idea :D xx

i really wanted to steer away from the footy idea for the centerpiece because although theres bits which are footy themed its also my wedding and i wanted it to look lovely. But i do like your martini glass idea with chocs

U could have stacked fish fish bowls that way you would have the round shapes like footballs (if thats what you want) and a large statement centre piece, maybe have 3 and fill each one with a different one of your themed colours? can also add fairy lights inside x

Or if you want to have a cute alternative to just football, you could get a white rose topiary and have the occasional rose dyed blue to match your colours and it will look sort of like a football but not in an obvious way! Or just have a normal rose topiary with alternating blue and silver ribbons?

How about big glass bowls with one large blue or white flower in? Gerberas look really good on their own and you can put blue food colouring in the water a few days before and they suck it up the stems and turn blue, then just snip off the flower and place in bowl of water.

    Hi Kimberlee1,

    Where are you getting married?

We hired our centrepieces, and I remember the company having a similar photo to the last idea on their website, if you type in stylish centrepieces it should be the first website.

    Hope it helps.

have you thought about tall thin glass vases, and a singluar bloom [one white one blue?] of each colour? mentioned earlier was dye methods, and tall/straight will detract foor round footballs? <3 x

Ive got my heart set on the trees now. Somebody said about hiring them but id much rather make them with my other half nan i want her to feel like shes involved and shes really artistic as well as me, give us time to bond aswell. I love making stuff. Will be more sentimental too. I did think of a single Gerbera in a cobalt blue wine bottle, but looking at the tables it would just overwhelm the flower, plus doing the tree it doubles up as a guest book

The tree is a great idea and as your making it you can incorporate your own colours and make it as usual or as unique as you like. I'm using etched glass hurricane vases with a tall pillar candle for my centre pieces and I'm contemplating getting some silver glass paint and adding a few stars and sticking on diamanté to make fireworks (my theme is fireworks and stars).. You could nick your guests profile pic off FB have them printed out and your guests could leave there messages on there pics to add to the tree!

i was looking at a polariod camera but the films for them were so expensive. Worth more than the actual camera. I might just do that the facebook thing most of my family are on facebook

Yeah polariod is a good idea but it is expensive! FB is probably the best idea and I'm sure you could get hold of pics of people that aren't on there! Make them round for footballs!
