I am having a catholic wedding. I am unsure how many hymns I am meant to have, when I spoke to the organist she said about 5. But not many of my family are Catholic and i don't think many people, including myself want to sing. Are you having hymns or just music?

I am having 2 hymns, but mine is CofE so not sure how different that would be to a Catholic ceremony. I didn't really know any hymns but my vicar put me on the spot saying he wanted me to tell him what to have! I found a CofE wedding website that had samples of a few popular wedding hymns, and the lyrics so I just went through those and picked the ones I thought were most relevant to us. Maybe there is a similar website for Catholic weddings perhaps?

It varies between 3 and 5. But generally Catholic weddings tend to be a bit longer. I am Catholic but getting married in a holy cross church so get to choose 2/3.
We are having 2 as H2B isn't a church goer and isn't too fond of it being a long ceremony!
We have picked, one more step along, and bread of heaven! (He is Welsh and rugby through and through!)

We had a Catholic ceremony and had 3 hymns:
Guide me thou oh great redeemer Make me a channel of your peace Lord of all hopefulness
The organist played an instrumental during communion so no singing and also during the signing of the register.
