Hello, I'm fairly new to this so would really like some advice and suggestions! I'm planning my wedding for April 2016, it's a later service around 2pm and I'm really struggling on catering! What food options would anyone suggest for a late wedding? Also if anyone knows of any reliable, fairly inexpensive caterers around the Cambridgeshire area that would be fantastic! Thank you! ️Xx

Have you thought about a bbq. Many venues do them

We're getting married in April and having our service at 2pm too. We are sitting down for food around 5.30pm and doing a 3 course meal. Everyone will have eaten lunch before the service and we're not doing evening food except cake as people will have only finished eating a few hours before. X

Just to add we asked the venue what their preferred/the best time frames were and that's what they advised. Maybe ask your venue the same to see what they suggest? :) x

We're getting married at 1pm, having a sit down meal at about 4/4.30pm and evening buffet of fish and chip cones, bacon butties etc later on. We're using Pr3m1er Cr3w who are based near Great Dunmow in Essex, but seem to cover a wide area, if that helps you at all.
My Sister got married at 3pm, had an afternoon tea style wedding breakfast (scones, cakes sandwiches) at about 5pm and then a bbq later on in the evening.

We had a 3pm wedding so by the time we sat down to eat it was around 6pm, this saved us having to feed guests in the evening and being a later wedding they would have already eaten prior to attending it.

2pm isn't late, don't worry about it. As you can see, you can still have the 3 course meal if that's what you want! Speak to your venue for timings :)
