hi guys, my first day on here, iv finally booked my wedding venue this morning, sooo exciting. nxt thing is wedding caterers, im in south yorkshire and will be having around 100 guests in day to 150 at night, my only issue is knowing weather to go for 3 course meal in day then buffet at night which could get costly or invite everyone to whole event and do 3 course meal with something smaller for night, or do both events buffet style, not keen on hogroast or bbq any suggestions on good caterers who r flexible please x

Hi, firstly welcome and congrats on the wedding! Enjoy planning your big day! There are loads of different options you could go for, we are having 3 course and evening buffet, but many are having hog roasts or buffets, it is your day, do it your way! x

Congratulations! I'm in Sheffield so a S. Yorks bride too :) and also busy trying to sort out caterers at the mo! We're having afternoon tea and then a hog roast in the evening. Where's your venue? We're having the reception at my aunts house in a marquee hence needing to sort caterers :) x

thanks for ur message, people keep saying its our day but then comment what we should have lol makes me laugh... just dont wanna be cheap but i know alot of food gets wasted at night dont think u can win with weddings anyway will always upset someone hah...

Lol well they're right with the first part!
I'm getting quotes from about 5 caterers, I'd emailed more but 3 came back to me saying they were fully booked. I'd definately contact people sooner rather than later about food cos caterers get booked up really quickly. First thing to do is set your budget. Most of the catering companies have menus on line that you can look at with prices per head so you can get an idea :)
hi, that sounds nice. we were gonna do the reception at his parents house/garden but opted out in the end, fell in love with our venue hodsock priory near carlton n lindrick, its a huge old house with lovely big gardens, no other weddings weve hired it all out for day and night.. this way we dont have to go along with a package and can have what we like. its come at a cost though hence why im being a bit funny with the food haha... iv found a caterer for 26 ph 3 course meal 6 ph buffet at night just think its alot of food to have as wont be having meal while about 3 we will just go for it in the end i know it haha just like to moan first xx
