Just sorting our invites out, and we know that the disco finishes at 11:30. Does that mean I say Carriages/Taxis at 11:30 or at 12?! The venue asks that guests leave at 12, so shall I encourage 11:30 or 12?!
Opinions gratefully received :)

I think on formal invitations carriages at 11.30 would be corrected as this suggests an end time. People will also loiter so to comply with the venue that fits. Or you could go for carriages at 11.45.

Carriages should be the time the reception venue expects the party to finish so in our case it was midnigh7. People will loiter afterwards so 11.30pm is probably safer to ensure they leave by midnight xxx

Luckily our venue has a public bar so we don't have to advise an end time. They keep it open until the last person leaves - could be a few sore heads in the morning! I think I'd say 11.40/11.45 to be safe xxx

We are saying midnight, but only because our venue have said to us that the bar will close around 1230 and then reopen when all but residents guests have left.

I would say 11.30 as people need to sort out taxis etc and may be hanging around waiting xx
