I'm taking ages to decide where to go on honeymoon. My fiance isn't too fussed he just wants a beach and nice weather but we are going to bring our 18 month old son with us so I'm really concerned about safety. Originally we wanted to go to the caribbean but the places with suitable resorts for him( ones with a kids club/babysitters) were on the islands that I read were dodgy for crime. I then started to look at the maldives and other islands in the indian ocean but thought it could be too boring for us and our wee one for 2 weeks.
Does any1 have any advice on what to do?I'm really stuck on where to go.Safety is a big concern of mine but I don't want to be bored!
Thanks xx

Have you tried Mexico?? They have some really good resorts it doesn't have to be cancun!! Or Dominican Republic have some really good kid clubs hotels aswell!! I think if you are going to the Indian Ocean it might be a wee bit too remote for the wee one!!! xx

I quite often go to the caribbean. I've been to St Lucia, Barbados and Jamaica. I don't think that they are any less safe then being in the UK. Most resorts have security guards and wire fencing all the way round. They have loads of things to do for people of all ages (even the big kids we often refer to as men, lol) I've taken both my kids to the caribbean and they loved it too. xx
I can't believe we've actually done it
I am now Mrs Limara Tester

Have you thought about Thailand, I only say this as the Thai's are fantastic with people especially children, just an idea.
Many people have this misconception about the caribbean as being high crime, which is potentially true. but do you think they would let tourists into those areas? Most resorts in the caribbean are built for torists and are perfectly safe. We are thei money, they would never risk losing it!
