I've been looking at carbon fibre wedding bands for the H2B and was wondering what everyone else thought? Have you had one for you or OH?
H2B is an electrician and is alwaays banging his hands at work, getting cuts and scrapes, so I thought that a carbon fibre band would be perfect for him as they're alot stronger than gold. I'm worried with a gold ring that he'd end up having to get it replaced often and then it wouldn't be as special because it wouldn't be the ring we were married with. He suggested not having a wedding ring for him but, as you can imagine, I'm not keen on that idea so I'm searching for an alternative.
Whaat do you all think? Would you be open to the idea of no wedding ring? Am I just being silly insisting he has one?

No chance would my guy be walking around with an empty finger ! He even has an engagement ring for until we get married !
We went w.ring looking today and mine is a lorry driver scraping his hands all the time too.. The woman suggested palladium or platinum as they're the strongest.. His e.ring is titanium which he was worn for over 3 years day in day out through work, building work at home, showering, washing up etc etc and there's not a scratch on it.. Your h2b has plenty of options so don't let him get away with no ring at all xxx

I'd be fuming if h2b didn't have a wedding ring. He should wear with wedding ring with pride. I also suggest palladium or platinum as apparently they're a lot stronger than gold

My oh will only be having a ring for the day and when we go out which isn't often. He works in a dangerous environment and it isn't safe. I say I'd rather see him without a ring than without a finger. I've heard good things about carbon fibre but couldn't tell you if they was true.

my h2b too has very active hands and he considered not wearing a ring which to be honest didn't bother me as I won't wear a ring either at work. we then decided we would go ahead and get them as to not regret it, whether we wear them every day or not is yet to be seen. I went for palladium and h2b went for a titanium one which was advertised as the strongest, most scratch resistant ring available.

When we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours
we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying
weirdness and call it love, true love.

I'm not sure how relevant this is but... My H2B has a carbon fibre triathlon bike and its quite fragile.

He's military and doesn't want a ring. I've asked him to have one, for the ceremony and to wear sometimes. I think we'll end up getting him a titanium one too.
