so were getting married in a hotel were we can have the whole lwedding under one roof, and we cant decide what to do about cars.
my other half suggested we stay in the hotel the night before, not sure bout this. i kinda wanna stay at home with the bridesmaids and roll up outside all ready for action like most brides do. know it dont involve to many trips like it would if we were goin to the church first, but i wouldnt feel like i was goin to my own wedding if i didnt turn up in some sort of car.
also my other half works for toyota and is car mad, thought he would of like the idea of getting to the venue in something about out of the ordinary.
    Help! :-)

I wouldnt have a car if I was getting married and having the whole day in 1 place, I would much rather spend the money on an extra night :-) xxx

i personally do want them but the h2b and i wouldnt be in one together cause were getting married in a hotel, but i know wot you mean its the driving from home with bridesmaids ect and the feeling you get driving there.
this is my second wedding so think thats why im a little more laid backabout it cause ive done the whole full on church wedding thing.
am thinking bout the cost factor as well as were trying for a baby and hoping to move house........ expensive few years ahead.....could do with a lottery win :-)

def agree with that, think it would be a bit lonely stuck in a room on yr own, i would much rather have an evening with my bm's nice girly nite in. plus one of my bm's is my daughter and she would def wanna be in the thick of the action lol

we arent having any cars ........ i was going to stay at home and go to the venue and mr lala stay there the night before but i wanted to have a car that was big enough for me and my four children ...the only thing we could find was a strech limo ......and i didnt want that so now .... i am staying at the venue ,mr lala is staying at our house with the Bm`s !!!! he will bring them over in the morning so they can get ready with me then he will drive himself over in his sports car ....( its a show car , has been at the classic car show at the nec ..featured in mags) which he is so proud of ......saved us money !!!!

thats quite a good idea. i dont fancy the usual wedding cars to be honest quite like the idea of a vw camper van that i can go to the venue with my dad and bm's. a classic car would look cool. anything goes these days :-)

In my most secret dreams I want a horse and carriage , but would settle for a lovely old fashioned car. Budget wise though we'll be travelling in my ugly bug (fiat multipla) which really isn't ANY brides dream car!

Wonderwoman. We had the same thought. WE have now decided though i am going to get ready at home and H2B in the hotel which means i get to have a car. Although i am having a pink london taxi that has been kitted out like a limo inside its so cool didnt want the standard wedding car.

We are not bothering. We are staying in the hotel the night before, getting married and having the recetpion in the same place. We needed to save some money but if it comes to it we will put some ribbons on the MIL car (gorgeous BMW).

I had this dilema as well, we are having the whole day in one venue and i wasn't sure if I wanted to be in the same place as my H2B but have decided it would work out cheaper to get a room than to arrange cars. We are now having quite a few close family staying the night before and we are all having a meal together, then my bridesmaid and a couple of friends are staying at the hotel overnight with me and my other half will be in a seperate room.

We have every intention of having our ceremony and reception in one place and the subject of cars has come up many times, if we have the venue which we are viewing next week we are thinking of possibly just one car, with H2b staying at best mans house night before, the car will just do 2 trips back and forth, its just how expensive they are. Will keep looking for sure.

Were getting married in a hotel too and having everything under one roof. The prices i have been quoted for a 5 min journey from my house to the hotel were ridiculous. Such a waste of money and i couldnt justify spending that much for a five minute taxi ride lol. So one of my best friends has a huge posh black car and is putting white ribbon on it ( were having a black and white wedding theme ) and hes driving me there. H2B staying at hotel the night before for free so its cost us nothing. The money can be put to good use elsewhere, ie my dress lol x x x x x

can see the logic behind staying in the hotel, and the fact its only a 15 min drive from my house to the venue i want.
on another note my h2b has just informed me he is sorting the cars......... could end up with anythin now lol
but i guess at the end of the day us brides get the say on most things so guess i can give him this job!!x

we have the same predicament. wedding day all in one place, so will stay over nite b4 (me anyway). i really wanted cars as its lovely to arrive in and great for pics.... but our venue is 20miles from home so have decided its not practical to have one. undecided as to where h2b will stay nite b4, but im sure he can thumb a lift if it comes to it lololol!!!!!
