    Hi everyone :)

I've been browsing the web recently for some fake flowers so I can make my own bouquets, but I can't find what I want anywhere! I'm having a rainbow themed wedding and so I want flowers in each colour; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink and some white to mix in. I don't think I want roses, but they're tho only ones I can find in all the colours! I'm thinking of daisies or gerberas, something like that.

Just wondered if anyone knew where I could buy all the colours i need, without spending a fortune?

    Thanks :) xx

I've got fake flowers.. my flower lady said that she couldn't get true blue gerberas (I wanted them for the cake, I'm having red, fuschia, yellow and royal).. so we got ivory ones and airbrushed them with food dye - they've come out lovely but need about 4 coats to make the blue true... I highly recommend dying them :)...

Glitterfairy, I think I've changed it?
LynD, thanks for that, I'll have to give it a go and hopefully i'll get great results like you did! Did you dye them all or just the blue ones?

    Thanks xx

I did blue ones and red ones (couldn't get either in the size I wanted)... get the gel colour food dye, that works the best.

Glitterfairy... I ordered some of these to see if i liked them.. I love them but i'm concerned they may be a bit big for buttonholes for the guys. Have you got any idea where I can find some mini gerberas in all the colours I need? Tried looking everywhere and had no luck :( xx

That's pretty brilly :) Are they the full sized ones about 4 inches wide? Did they have buttonholes with that size too? H2B says theyre fine... but he won't really give anymore input! He's not exactly small framed either so they shouldn't look too big on him, but some of his groomsmen are quite small- i just don't want them all looking like clowns! x

Gemma these are the ones glitterfairy gave you a link for, I had to cut the stems myself and just used a pair of pliers as they have a metal pole in the stem, I then added the crystals to the centre and then added the bear grass using florist tape to hold in place then wrapped the stems in 8mm thick double sided ribbon then used 3mm ribbon for the criss cross x

Ooh ok, that's the only supplier I could find that does all 7 colours i need! Thanks for letting me know how you did it, i may have to steal the idea of the criss cross ribbon once I've decided on the rest of it. I'm gonna get H2B to put a suit jacket at some point and put a flower next to him to check the sizing. If it looks ok then I'm going to order the rest of the flowers i need and get started on them.
I'm thinking of just getting the groomsmen and h2b to wear a tie and the buttonhole rather than have a handkerchief too, as i think it'd be too much with the size of the flower. If you have a look in my albums at the rainbow flower, thats the one i'm thinking of h2b to wear... I don't know how to post the link in this?

    xx
