I know I have few years but I can't find a venue :( the ones where my church are and close to where we live or in between the two are either wayyyyy out of our budget or really really tacky and unsure if there even be in business when the time comes. I just want somewhere so I can relax. Told oh that I wanted somewhere that u look at and say wow but now I just want somewhere that will hold enough people :( x

i think maybe take a break from looking at venues for a little while and then go back to it with a fresh mind. You may then find somewhere that is just right.

This is what we have done, we can book our wedding in a couple of weeks, so once this is booked then we will start looking at reception venues here again.

    xx

id suggest not actively looking, if you see or hear about a place then check it out, but Id say you can take a back seat on it for now, if youre worried about choosing somewher and it going out of business then getting wedding insurance before booking HOWEVER, Most won't insure you any earlier than 2 years before, so it might not be the best time to be looking/booking anytime soon anyway

Something will definately come up, dont worry :)

I agree with the posts above, have a little break from looking for a venue, and then one day you will walk around and find one. I am in between reception venues you at the minute, due to the fact that every one will have to travel 15 minutes, from the church in rush hour, but they are the only places that arent booked up, so i am just trying to decide between them both.

I have to agree with the previous posters and stop actively looking. You never know when the perfect place might come up. There are a lot of alternate venues and spaces that you may discover in your everyday life. Luckily you have plenty of time and you don't need to book anything right away.

Have you bought a local wedding magazine? Our local one is full of venues I didn't know about before! Might be worth a try xxx
