You can dye flowers but this can be a bit expensive. Or just go with ivory or a second colour and have everything else in the navy to compliment it. I was thinking of having blue but went for burgundy after finding no blue roses the right colour!

My brother Gf wants to do the flowers as she's just starting her own business. So will be better for our budget too. And she struggling to find dark blue flowers. She mentioned tip dying them but said can look bait tacky. So was hiking just white roses and then navy feathers and diamontes and that. Did think of a secondary colour but nt a clue what colour to go for :( x

Most navy blue flowers in arrangements will either be dyed or silk. Delphinium and dark blue iris (yellow center) should be available year round.
Don't know why dyed flowers would look tacky? Seeing as they aren't dip dyed, the dye travels up the stem to colour the petals.

Yeah they can be dyed. I tried that on a couple of flowers that i want for my wedding, if you are going to dye them then make sure you do it alot of time in advance as they take time to travel up the stem into the petals.

As you put the dye in the water, they can take a while to go up into the petals, so i would do a test run.

Dip dye ones i think personally do look tacky.

You can get dark blue tulips I think but they would prob be out of season unless you are marrying in the spring?

I thought blue roses were impossible? I may have dreamt that though...or it may have been a cunning plan from my mother to get me to change my colour scheme..,...HMMMMM

What about seeing if you can get hold of cornflowers maybe? Have you looked into the flower markets near your area as they can work out cheaper to buy from if you are buying a few.

Have put a link on my wall for blue rose flower bouquets for those who are interested in them. (They are NOT wedding bouquets, but could possibly be added into one)

Also for those that need a lil help and ideas on some blue wedding flowers they can be Sea Holly, Hyacinths, Delphiniums, Statice, Campanula, Roses, Forget-Me-Nots, Iris, Violets, Centaurea Cyanus, Catanache, Caryopteris, Clematis, Aconitum, Agapanthus, Anchusa Capansis, Brunerra Macrophylla, Aquillagia, Baptisia Australis, Agastache, Water Lillie, Aster, Anemone Blanda, Allium, and Hydrangeas. (I went a bit mad methinks lol)
