Well I got told pink was out as the men would never wear it. (good job I never had my heart set on it) Couldn't have burgundy as I nearly had that for a previous wedding, didn't want yellow or red (no offence to anyone having it) so that left us with blues, greens (which I'm picky about), gold and silver. We went with gold and ivory but then I felt the tables would be lacking colour and I couldn't find any bridesmaid dresses in the right shade of gold so I added some aqua to the mix as the h2b's suit is navy and it goes with that.

I would have a look at some mood boards and find out what you and the h2b like the look of the most.

I wouldn't worry too much about having a firm colour scheme. I know it seems almost sacrilegious but you can have all the colours of the rainbow if you like.

I've not got a single "colour scheme" really. I'm wearing gold with red shoes and garnet jewellery, my bridesmaids are in garnet silk with scarlet accessories, the flowergirls in red, yellow and turquoise respectively, my fiancé will be wearing a red-based tartan kilt with a black jacket and all the other men in assorted tartans (with black jackets) with no real care to colours. My flowers are red, the bridesmaids flowers are cream, the centrepieces will be green and white... Anyway, none of it really matches but all of it works as far as I'm concerned.

we've got the bridesmaids in aqua, pewter shoes and carrying flowers in white and fuscia. I'm wearing Ivory and I'm having white, fuscia and yellow flowers. We're having aqua and lemon chair sashes and will be having aqua table crystals/water pearls etc. and the white and fuscia flowers. So ours is going to be a pretty mixed bag of colours but really bright which is me all over! :o)

We are having claret, ivory and black. Originally we were just going to have claret & ivory but h2b wanted to have a black in there too. Not entirely sure what colour everyone is going to be wearing but all the things will be loosely around that theme.

u dont have to choose a color yet i've been looking on the net to see what seems to be perfect colors for spring... so i decided on that, but of course its up to u what u and h2b like, i didnt want pink as i dont want the man wearing pink... even though i love pink for myself... i decided to go for auqa blue as blue is one of my fav. colors :) but even if u just go along with looking at things it might be that u find the right color when u find ur venue :) sometimes a theme alone is fine too :)

We're having a coffee and cream/ivory kind of theme. BM/s will be in a mocha type color with chocloate brown pasminas (as we're getting married in Novemeber) and they're having ivory/cream coloured flowers. I'll be wearing Ivory. H2B and the guys are wearing chocolate brown suits, ivory shirts and with cravats the same colour as the BM's. We'd not really thought about colours, h2b saw the suit and though it a bit different from the blue/grey suits and the BM's liked a brown dress as we were going by a shop so fitted together quite well :) x

We went with ivory black and burnt orange..... mainly because they are h2b bike club colours and he wanted them, but also because we think that they work very well together.

my dress sorted my color theme as it has a lot of burgundy detail (see photo album) everything else has been chosen with that in mind and then some how ended with alot of silver in there so now we burgundy/silver so bridesmaids are in burgundy to match me and the boys in silver then to add slight confusion to the day MIL2B is matching me and my mum is matching H2B

My colours are Jade green (or emarald depending on where you ask) silver and ivory. I picked the green because i fell in love with a pair of shoes in that colour lol not the most traditional way od choosing but it worked for us :D

Im wearing ivory, my cbm is in the green and my younger bm is in green and ivory. We all have ivory bouquets with greenery and green ribbons. The males are all in a black and grey tartan, h2b, his bm, our son and my dad are wearing green cravats and the rest are in silver cravats.

    xx

We're going for a cadbury purple colour. H2B told me I couldn't have pink (too girly) or red (massive Man City fan!) and he would prefer blue or purple so I started with that! My two sisters who are bridesmaids refused to wear pastel colours but like purple, and I really like it too so we went for that! Not actually bought anything purple yet though so it may change....! The other option is teal!

I went for purple because it's my favourite colour added gold to jazz it up. My second choice would have been teal mixed up with peacock feathers.

I've always been a pink girl, so I always knew pink would be within my colour scheme. I also love the vintage style so then pale golds were added in... then when I got my dress it all meshed together xx

god i have changed my mind and nearly had a mental breakdown over flippin colours lol.

i started with fushia, then orange then teal then fushia and teal, then last week decided i couldnt find anything in teal so started again and couldnt decide between fushia and orange/ just fushia/turqoiuse/turquoise and fushia/orange and lime lol. i have now decided on turqoiuse and white with really small bits of fushia scattered about.

but i LOVE the orange and lime i think its absolutley gorgeouse but my bridesmiads said they didnt like it :-@. annoyed at myself aswell as its my wedding but i let others ppls oppinions influence me and i shouldnt :-( x

ill add a few of the pics to see if u like any x

predominantly white/ivory with a hint of bordeux. Basically flowers and cake will be ivory/white, BM will be bordeux and a hint in mens suits and chair covers bordeux with a red rose on everyones napkin, so not a lot of red just a bit. Wanted everything really classy and sophisticated and yiu cant beat the freshness of white but added a touch of colour to make sure it didnt look too clinical.

cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo

Startred of with lilac, ivory/creams and silver, then decided on any purples with the other 2 colours. But LOVE the idea of using peacock feathers, with turquoise, too late to change now though as iv got all the bits for my invites and favours. lol xx
