I know Home Bargains is cheap to buy things like Haribo etc, but maybe a local cash and carry for some of the other items (drumsticks, flying saucers etc)??

Bay or e have loads of deals/packages on bags scoops etc.
Look at family/friends or charity shops/car boots for glasses/vases etc.
Bay or e, online shop and cash and carry for sweets.
It will depends on how many people and how many sweets for a price but we are looking between £100-£150 for about 15 different sweets for 150 people.

just be careful with the bay as regards to postage it can get expensive when it adds up if you buy from different sellers and don't forget if you buy from one seller to ask for postage discount and check around to as i have seen they aren't always cheaper. check out supermarkets when you do you shopping bgofs and 3for2 can work out good. I'm getting mine from a sweet stall as i live near the sea it works out the cheapest option for me x if you wanting big vases types also check out the supermarkets and Wilkinson's they can be cheap for those to. I'm having mismatched glass dishes of different sizes as i want the more old fashioned/vintage feel.
