Hi, I'm doing my own Candy buffet table but I'm not sure how many different sweets to have. Is anyone else doing their own and if so how many different sweets are you providing? xx

I'm having one supplied for me (as part of a package) if I was putting it together myself tho I would provide a verity so some hard sweets (eg mints, hard boiled sweets) some gummy sweets (h@r1bo giant strawbs are my fav, maybe some sugared and sour gummy sweets to) and some chocolate (white jazzies yum!). I would probably have about 6 different types of sweets in total but I guess this would be affected by budget and total number of guests.

I think lollipops would be quite popular so you could do one of those lolly trees. X

I'd say around 10 different ones for a good selection.

Sweets are my weakness. I'd probably go crazy and get 20 different types (including chocolate ones). Hence why we would not have a candy table at our party - not very becoming for the bride to be stood scoffing her face all night :p
Thank you all for your replies. Unfortunately we won't be having chocolate due to the weather and we won't be having lollipops or hard sweets because we have 20+ young children coming and I don't want to risk one of the younger children choking! Xx

We are doing our own sweet table. We've got marsh mallows, giant strawberries, dolly mixtures, 2 sorts of lollipops and a jar of biscuits incase people would rather have a biscuit than sweets

I have to say it was amazing, my raves are sour sweets so sour dummy's and fizzy colas are a hit with me.
Eggs and frogs are soft for kids, along with the shrimps and banana, gummy bears, jelly babies, midget gems, wine gums, fruit salads and black jacks are a memory for the oldies, milk bottles(not my fave) colas bottles, list is endless!

We didn't want anything that will melt as it's a summer wedding so thought they were safe options lol

We're thinking of having haribo starmix, haribo tangfastics, milk bottles, fizzy cola bottles, teeth and toothbrushes, juicy lips, rainbow straw dusts, jelly babies or jelly men, haribo frogs, giant strawbs, marshmallows, shrimps and bananas. Do you think there will be enough options? We have invited 80 people so are basing it on them all coming until we know numbers xx

I think that's plenty. Good selection. Can I come to your wedding lol

Thanks everyone :) We were debating flying saucers Steph but I don't think they taste as nice as they used too so not sure whether they'd be worth buying :/ I'm looking forward to the sweets more than the proper food :P I'd buy more variety if are budget wasn't so small lol. Haha Mrs Wade feel free to come, the more the merrier ;) xx

We have a sweetie table in our package with a different variety of sweets but they have told us we can add extra if we want to but we need to supply the jars aswell as sweets if we want more, so not a bad deal really, we have flying saucers on ours haven't had them since I was little :) xz
