We have little ones coming to our wedding and will still be using tea lights - all the children will be sat with their parents and I'm sure that their parents would be responsible enough to keep an eye on the kids to stop them from getting hold of them!
Now, finally, Mrs Riley
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words

Could you not get hurricane lamps to put them in? x
CommentAuthorEcoFreak
I'm looking at having all my candles in hurricane lamps or floating in glasses.
Tbh I'm sure parents will keep an eye out otherwise the flameless ones sound good if you're worried :) Xx
CommentAuthorLegoWife
The flameless ones do look really nice. Just said to H2B they don't look fake do they!? And he looked up and said "you mean they're not real?" lol.
Bit of a shame they'll soon add up if you buy loads of them though!

you can buy packs of 4 flameless tealights from a well known hobby and craft shop, they had them in different colours at one point. They're only a pound for 4, so it's reasonably cheap, it's more the batteries that might sink your budget! They are really pretty though, plus you wouldn't need to worry about them being blown out or running out of wick :) xx

I wanted lots of candles aswell & decided to go for the LED battery tealights, but to b honest I don't think they will give as much of a romantic feel, but since i'v read these ideas, I may have to start collecting some jam jars aswell melliecake, wot a fab idea, cuz i'v looked at the tealight holders and 2bh they are quite pricey x

Hi ladies
I am getting married by candle light and my reception will have candles everywhere. My centrepieces are tall hurricane vases with flowers wreaths and then will be having tea lights around the table, they are all in very small glass jars, you can buy them from hobby craft..
Also, if you are really worried about having candles around there is such a thing as candle bags, I have them myself, they are fire resistant and beautiful!

The candle bags are really good if you want candles without it being risky around kids. I tried burning one and it didn't burn, just turned the bag a little brown and you can get them in loads of different styles. I got 22 bags for £5. I'm going to be getting some more and using them to light pave ways outside x

That's a great idea Melody! :) I've seen those bags on holiday once, they looked great - took me ages to realise it was a bag! Thought they were candles inside quartz stones.. Xx
CommentAuthorJules
I've never heard of them Melody.x, but they sound gr8, where did you get them from???
