After yet another sleepless night and another argument with H2B this morning I realised I wasn't happy or excited any more about anything to do with our wedding. Even finding what I thought was the perfect dress wasn't exciting it felt like more of a chore. We argue nearly everyday over money and the cost of everything. So after a good heart to heart we have decided to cancel the wedding and save the money first then set a new date. I know its the right thing to do because im not upset im just relieved. xx

Aw hun, its a shame, but it sounds like the right thing to do for you. its horrible when its not only expensive but putting a strain on you too, its supposed to be a happy time
It took us almost a year after getting engaged before commiting to a date and finally getting money down etc, so it will happen. Amd hopefully you will enjoy it! :)

That's a shame. We did the same. H2B felt more pressured to get married more than wanting to and in the end he just flipped and we had a big argument. We didn't speak for a week and eventually he told me that he felt too pressured. We had to cancel our wedding too, but it felt better that now we do actually want to! x

Thank you ladies, we both feel loads better and likr a weight has been lifted. We originally brpught the date forward because my dad is ill, but I told h2b that he was more important to me than my dad being there obviously it will upset me if he cant be but im spending my life with h2b not my dad soppy bugger welled up at that. Love him to much to ruin things because of stress :) xx

So sorry to hear you've had to cancel, but glad that you feel relieved now that you have. Wedding planning can be so stressful and it's best to stop if it seems like a relationship is suffering.

Sorry to hear that. It is quite normal though I think, for alot of it to sound like a chore. I was really excited at first, but with all the expense, and other people poking their noses in etc, it can lose it's shine a bit. Please don't be disheartened next time you set a date, as it's not all great all of the time x

I didn't expect it to be great all the time and always new my parents would be a nightmare its just them lol but I didn't expect to effect my oh and me to the point we didn't want to be in the same room as each other. Since we made the decision its been so much better between us and I will look forward to planning again when its right. Thank you all xxxx
