Ive found the perfect dresses for my bridesmaids, but unfortunatley they are too dark in colour and they dont come in a lighter shade....so i wanted to know if i could bleach them lighter? or would it matter that they are a darker shade of blue than the rest of the wedding theme?

I don't think it matters if your colours are not exactly the same. it so hard to get everything in exactly the same shade. i don't know how to bleach things but it might ruin the fabric?

I wouldn't bleech them to be honest, you'll end up with a tied dyed effect, that's what i used to do in art college years ago. I think Princess2be is right also, it will make the bms stand out a little bit too. I've also not been to a wedding where the colours match exactly but rather are in the same range xx

i guess but my colours are very pale pastel blue and these dresses are like ocean blue....reckon thats ok? they are lovely dresses and are on sale atm too

I wouldn't try and bleach them yourself if your really worried about them not matching i would take it to a dressmaker and ask if they could make it lighter. But i wouldn't bother myself i would just have a diffrent shade of blue x
