    just copied this of the experts thread for you

    There are two options, depending if the venue has a separate named room to that used for the ceremony. I would suggest one of the following;

    If the reception room has a separate name

    Mr & Mrs N Brown
    request the pleasure of the company of
    ............................................
    to celebrate the marriage of their daughter
    X
    to
    X
    at full name of venue (include postcode)
    on Saturday 1st June 2010
    at time
    followed by a reception in the Old Barn

    If the ceremony and reception are in the same room try one of the following;

    Mr & Mrs N Brown
    request the pleasure of the company of
    ............................................
    to celebrate the marriage of their daughter
    X
    to
    X
    at full name of venue (include postcode)
    on Saturday 1st June 2010
    at time
    reception follows/followed by a reception/followed immediately by a reception etc

    Ah thanks Mrs T and Celi.
    I'm not going to be able to put parents names down so I am going to have to think of something else..
    (whose name would go first his or mine?)

    What about

    Karlie Warner & Stuart Day request the pleasure of your company on their wedding day.
    at The Tythe Barn, Tewin Bury Farm, Welwyn, Herts.
    12.30
    reception to follow.

    is that all it needs to say..
    It needs some kind of rocket up its ar*e... a spark or something saying woo hoo over here!!
