I wasn't going to wear a veil until I found my mum's in our attic, I love it and it will be perfect.
Only thing is over the 25 odd years it has become discoloured :(
It's like a yellowy colour whereas my dress is a very very light ivory, almost white but without the icy-ness of white.
I would love to get it dyed but not sure if you can even dye veils without runing them?
It has pearls all along the bottom also, so this may make it tricky to do.
Is there like a type of company who would do this or is it pretty much unheard off?
It's not like it's an exspenive veil or anything I just fell in love with it when I saw it :)

    All advice appreciated

Problem wih yours is because of age it may need to be lightened not dyed, can you try to wash it with net curtain whitener?

I could do, what is net curtain whitener? Would I get in a supermarket?
I'm rubbish with things like this.
That's what I'm worried about, it is really soft and delicate so I really don't want to ruin it :(

Yes, you buy it in the supermarket, should be near the vanish type products, and my nets are quite delicate so it should be fine, just in case though put it in a pillow-case and loosely sew it up so it can't escape and then it won't be able catch on anything! xx

I think I might be inclined to take it to a proffessional cleaner for advice. As it's your Mum's it would be a shame to take a risk and ruin it :o) x
