I am making my own wedding album up, and I have designed quite a few in the past for other people, and they have always chosen to have the photo-finish front and back cover......
I like them, but I dont love them, not for my wedding album. I am also doing one for our honeymoon photos and I will have a photo-finish for that, but I am thinking that I want something different for the actual wedding album.

So I found this......what do YOU think? would you prefer the leather or the photo-finish? and why?

I think if I had it I would have Black.....

Tori it went fantastically....had such a lot of fun and got some great pictures,

And yes.....without trying to sound like a snob.....classy is the word I would use for the leather bound......not that there is anything wrong with the photo finish.....but the leather just looks classier.

And actually......the leather bound is only £25 more.

I really dislike the photo-finish look, for us personally it would be leather bound or nothing. I just think photo-finish just looks like a kids storybook, in a weird sort of way, less iconic and not as special. x

I love the photo finish as have done a few of these for people as presents but I think for a wedding and honeymoon albulm it shoudl be leather just something about it xx

I think for SOME things its OK......like the honeymoon pictures would be fine, but not a great fan of them ....

I have also looked up paper qualities, and have decided on a flush-mount album.....the pages are cardboard instead of paper.
Of course the maximum pages I can have is 30 pages..(60 sides) because of the thickness it would end up as....but I would rather have 60 quality pages, than 200 pages filled with OK shots......this way I will pick the very best to go in the album, I will design the pages myself and so on some pages there may be 2-3 images......

The finished album will measure 12 inches x 15 inches....and around 3 inches thick...

I prefer the leather one Hun:-) I just think its more of a classic wedding album, whereas the photo finish is fun and more for honeymoon :-)x I think leather one will keep better too!

I prefer leather but I am a bit bias as this is what we will be having in our package from our photographer, only ours will be cream with our names and wedding date embossed in gold under the small photo. So I voted leather, I personally think that the picture ones can look a little tacky and may fade over time xxx

I love the leather bound one, far classier. I think I'd rather have it in brown than black though as it's less harsh, especially for a wedding album xx

I like leather - love the way it wears down and I far prefer brown to black as, unless its very good quality leather it can look a little 'pleathora' like.. brown is much warmer - but that's just my opinion :) x

its definately going to be leather......probably brown, not sure if I want an aperture on the front cover for a picture.....
I think its maybe because I too am a traditionalist and thats why I like plain / simple/ classic things......

I have been busy designing page spreads, got 5 done already.......cant wait to get it...

I like the picture cover one Anne just prefer the leather. Nothing Snobbish about classy!! So pleased the second shoot went so well especially as you are a family of keen photographers made it so much worse the first time around.

i prefer photo finish personally but do agree that the leather one would probably be more durable - made our guest book as a photo book from Ph0t0b0x online and it was lovely but after a night making it's rounds it has got a bit mucky and banged up - albums probably more durable but - all personal preference

i prefer the black leather, I've gone for a photo finish because i wanted to put a picture of our doggie on the back with a little note that says i wasn't there but i sneaked this one in as he wanted to be there just the vicar wouldn't let him :-(
