ok so here we go...we decided to have our wedding in paphos cyprus then changed our minds as it wasnt likely that many (if any) of h2bs family would come (mine are coming)

I then found a perfect venue in the UK but the cost is £8522 and would still need to sort out and get everything else that comes with a wedding... realistically we cant afford it in this space of time and dont want to postpone the wedding another year to make sure we can afford what we want..so many different extras seem to be coming into it and extra costs means extra money and to be honest I want extras! I dont want to pay out for an amazing venue and then have to scrimp on everything else though either :/

Im contemplating going back to original plan of our wedding in cyprus and speaking to h2b's family to see what they have to say...if not Im going to pay for a videographer to record the wedding so that way those who do miss out can watch it when we get back, not the same as being there but the next best thing??

Anyway I am in the middle of writing out things I need to pay out for with a wedding abroad as threw out all the details Id previously written trying to weigh up the costs of both weddings and decide from there..

    Planning to perfection

I would weigh up the pros and cons of each hun, if you marry abroad you can always have a blessing back home after or just a party to celebrate etc

I know what you mean thoguh spending loads ona perfect venue then scrimping on other things, its not perfect then is it :( xx

flights, accomodation, spending money, insurance (holiday and wedding), transfers
registrar fee, photographer, videographer, flowers, cake, transport, reception venue, food

that's all i can think of just now

the actual cost depends on time of year, whether you want a planner, where you want to get married (beach/hotel/town hall/boat) etc

we've got a photographer all day for 450euros and all photos on cd. if you want them in albums, it'll cost a lot more

Also booking a holiday and wedding seperatly will save you on money too, quite a lot actually!! And as kisywisy said it depends on time of year we wanted july but may was much cheaper x
