Hi, just wondering if anyone else is making the effort to make the guests' names beautiful on the invitations?
It is taking a long time because I'm also doing it on the addresses. It is a little easier because I am using an italic felt tip pen so I haven't got ink all over my fingers!!
My uncle said that my Grandad would have been proud, because it was something he did too, calligraphy. Though he would have used a ruler and pencil to make sure everything was straight on the addresses and then rubbed the pencil lines out afterwards.
Is it worth it?

Im not doing calligraphy but I have quite nice writing anyway (even though all our invite stuff is typed :/) So if there is anything that needs to be hand written I will be doing it :-)

Yes personally i love it but i cant find anyone to do it for me without it costing me the earth :-(
H2b has nice writing so he can write all the envelopes out hehehehe (invites etc will be printed)

I'm lucky cause my Mum is quite arty and is good at it. She will be writing the names on my invites and doing the place cards for me.

My Mam does it. She used to help me with my art stuff when i was younger and she used to do all the writing for me. LOL
