just wondered if anyone knows if a wedding cake is do able on a budget of £200.?

my step mom has offered to buy but doesnt have a large amount of money.

if so any ideas where to get it?

my mum does wedding cakes. though she lives in nottinghamshire im sure she can oblige, she's never had a complaint yet, and shes done over 50 of em! lol! shes doing my h2b's friends next year, and mine. her fruit cake is to die for! and very alcholic lol! depends what you want!

we are getting an marks and spencers 3 tiers hun and it comes under £100 xx

you know fruit, chocolate, malibu, sponge, lemon etc

oh furthest one of her cakes went was wales or scotland canna remember, i know shes done loads for my family in wales!

mum got ours from waitrose for £150 2 tiers pic on wedding album was lovely choc and orange, stand and bases provided fed 80 there abouts x

Im having a few problems too, found a nice cake maker but she isnt replying to my emails now so not sure whats happened there, might be having to find someone else and looking to pay around £300. Was going to do the M&S cakes but want someone to do all the hard work for me.... make cake, decorate it and deliver it and set it up at venue and collect stand afterwards. Guess I have to pay for that sort of service.

marks and sparks cakes are good

depends what size and style of cake, we are paying £280 inc delivery and set up for a 4 tier cake to feed 160 people x

mines 2 tiers ivory icing with silver beading and ribbon with calia lillys on top for £60 and a kitchen piece in that x

marks and spencers are lovely am having 2 wedding cakes a cup cakes and a four tier cake from m&s

Im getting my BMs mum to make mine, she does it as a hobby sort of thing so she is doing it really cheap for me. I bought my cake topper off the bay of e for £2.99 xxx

i've just looked at the M&S wedding cakes and they look lovley, and such a good price, i might consider this :-)

We are just going to buy a pretty stand and decorate that, then have a very simple white cake and put flowers on top. My Dad is actually making our cake but it would still be cheap if you bought a simple cake from a supermarket or something.
