Is there a traditonal time to cut the cake or is it as and when it suitable for bride and groom?

We did it in the evening before the first dance. I think it can happen anytime though.

im glad u asked this i was wondering aswell but i think doin it before the first dance is great!!! then it can be sent off to get cut while every one is watchin u dance xxxx

I think you can do it at anytime that suits you, we're cutting ours after meal and speeches...... It's your day so you get to choose, thats the fun bit lol xxx

We are going to do the speeches in the evening as we are having a late wedding and meal. I think we will do the cake cutting after them and before the 1st dance.
Although thinking about it that does mean having to share my cake with more people. Might have to re think that. lol.

i think we're cutting ours after all the speeches and the breakfast. Our cake is the dessert though so maybe we'll be cutting it a little later?
