I need a quick rant... I was on my was to M&S this morning to pick up our cake when I got a call from them saying one of my tiers hadn't arrived, then she didn't know what I had ordered at all. She told me she coukd get them to me for tomorrow... not good enough, I have someone decorating the cake today so I have to have them today. I asked if there was another store I could collect them the missing on from. She said she'd find out what is going on and call back. I thien got a call saying it was our middle tier that was missing (the one that needs the most work.. typical) and ivory cakes are made to order so they haven't got another for me until tomorrow.... so I have had to go and collect 2 of them today and drop them off to be worked on and they have told me when the other arrives in the morning they will put it in a taxi for me. I am so worried they are ging t mess up again... I have to have it b 10.30 in the morning or its too late. I am sooooooo peed off right now! These cakes have been on order for 2 months... its not difficult!!!

thanks! there was a woman stood next to me ordering an ivory cake the same as ours, I was so tempted to tell her to go elsewhere!

I was going to order the 3 tier'd 1 with the roses this week! Scared me a bit lol.. I hope it comes on time for you!! x
I would put a complaint into M&S stating that you require compensatin due to the unnecessary stress that this has put you under with 2 days to go until your wedding.
If you've had them on order for 2 months there should be no excuse as to why one tier wasn't ready on time.
Fingers crossed it is on time tomorrow xx

I've heard quite a few horror stories about buying supermarket wedding cakes now and them not being ready or being wrong. You would think they would organise a more reliable service seeing as its such an important item.

You're probably best ringing up head office or the ordering line as the instore assistant will have to contact them anyway which will then take longer. I would put in a complaint and they should then compensate you in some way.
