right i was looking at flowers today, and just wondered who is supposed to have button holes i think that its groom best man both dad's and ushers? am i forgetting anyone and also got told that the men are supposed to have just white or similar not my colours,
and do mums have corsages, as buttonholes are just for men? what are you doing for yours? i think i want the buttonholes in purple to go with my colour scheme i know its my day and can do what i want just wanted some advice thanks ladies xx

ive made my bouget in or colurs, my h2b has a flower that is in my bouquet and also the other men in the grooms party , ushers fob, fil2b and his grandad also

the women are my fg have baskets of petals, my bm have jewled bouquets, and my mother has a lapel corsage but large , my mil2b has a smaller lapel coursage and man in law to be has a wrist corsage . all have similar flowers and colours and pearls that feature in the rest of the wedding and my bouquet

i made all mine (pics in my albums if you want to see and also on a thread on here)

you can have what ever you want for who ever you want its your wedding at the end of the day you do what ever suits you and your taste

I'm getting h2b, best man, fil2b, my step-dad and grandad buttonholes (h2b will be a different colour to the rest) then I'm getting lapel corsages for mum, mil2b, and both grandmas so they all feel involved - basically all the 'important' members of our family xx

my flowers are all ivory even though my colour theme is ivory and bordeux. Just going for subtle hints of the red and keeping everything white and vintage as much as poss. Didnt want my BMS in white lol. It is a white avalanche rose for the button holes. Not sure about the corsages. They will prob incorportate some of my flowers

we are giving, best man, father of the bride and ushers button holes, my mum, h2b's mum and the two witnesses corsages, managed to get some lovely corsages off ebay only £4.00 and they are amazing :) x

green Cymbidium orchids are going to be our main flower, so h2b is going to have one as his button hole, with maybe a lil something something extra. his best man and dad are going to have a button hole, as will my dad. my mum will have a simpler version of my bouquet made into a corsage...well thats the plan anyway lol a pic of a poss buttonhole is on my albums! getting excited and i have 2 years to wait lol

yeah, it wasnt my first choice of colour though wanted baby pink but h2b liked the cad purple and the bridesmaids looked gorgeous in the colour xx

I have just got 5 buttonholes for h2b, best man, his dad, my son and an usher. They are all the same, a pink rose with bear grass. Getting a corsage for MIL2b which will be in a colour to match her hat and my MOH is having a pink peony pomander, my 11 year old BM is having an ivory pomander and my 18 mth old is having an ivory silk purse with pink tulle round the top. Then my bouquet is a completely different colour to everyones! Not much of a co-ordinated wedding, lol. x

my oh , bm , 2 ushers and both dads are all getting the same button hole - my other half picked .
It will e made up of heather, a thistle (for scotland) and a small rose (for england), tied with as close a match to the tartan they are wearing as possible (unfortunately no one does the spirit of scotland tartan in ribbon form

im having orchids (so has my cake) and the bm have calla lillies (same as venue decorations)
