Hi I'm looking into our wedding flowers and I'm having problems with the button holes..... I know we buy for Bridal party, but what's the done thing for non Bridal party guests?...were only having immediate family members at the ceremony, but my sisters partners and children and my H2B sisters partners and their children which are not part of the bridal party are having same suits... My question is do we buy buttonholes for those also or give them option to have if they pay themselves?? Thanks in advance Toni xx

We have only bought button holes for the people in the wedding party as it makes them stand out more. If we got one for everyone else at £3 eachnit would get really expensive. X

If they're having the same suits I would get them. At my bil wedding all immediate family members got them.

I'm stuck on ours too - I'm tempted to make them just for my OH and my son (who is giving me away) and then flowers for my "best girls" (my two daughters, Oh's sister and his sister in law). It's just our ceremony is going to me so small (consisting of mostly OH's family if I gave buttonholes and corsages to the traditional "bridal party" there would only be a few people without and it would look a bit odd. Still got loads of time to decide though.

    Started dating: 10th February 2011
Welcomed our little girl: May 2015
    I proposed: 23rd December 2015
    I finally become Mrs R 17th August 2017

We're getting them for the immediate wedding party only - so groom, best man, father of the groom (who is 2nd best man) and my dad. Essentially the people who are wearing the same suits. In your case, if the others are all wearing the same suits I would probably get buttonholes for them too so it looks uniformed - if they are wearing the same suits, you must see them as an important part of the wedding party anyway?

We're not doing anything for the ladies. Just the men. We are however having alternative buttonholes (keys instead of flowers) which are more "manly" than feminine xx

thanks all :) we have 4 bridesmaids 3 flower girls which we are buying the flowers for and flower wands for the flower girls, in the bridal party I have my H2B (obviously) our 2 sons my future father in law (who is giving me away) my dad died when I was young and my future father in law treats me as his own :) and best man, if we do buy for others in family (they are paying for there own suits) that's 7 more button holes and Im worried that its going to go way over our budget! unless I find a smaller cheaper version for them I think im going to have a chat with the florist see what I can work with xx

I like the idea of having a smaller version or maybe something a little different. That way they'll still have something but the immediate wedding party will still stand out.

I think that's a good idea to have smaller ones for them.
Just noticed you didn't mention MOB or MOG, are you getting them corsages?

We have got them for OH, best man, my dad and a 'fancy' buttonhole my mum, so just the main bridal party. We were going to get one for MIL but didn't really think she needed one so just left it at that. Then obviously bouquets for me and BM's and a wand for FG x

Got together on 14th March 2010
Got engaged on 25th December 2013
Became Mrs P on 14th May 2016 - best day ever!

Emily haven't decided on my mom and MOG yet for what they would like they still undecided on outfits so we were going to sort theirs out at a later date.... I think corsages will be the way to go, I know my MOG would want one, but my mom is a different story she doesn't like a lot of accessories,...I'm still trying to talk her into having a flower hair piece, as she refuses to wear a hat (moms for you) :)

We are having buttonholes for groom, grooms dad, my dad, 3 beat men and our son who is page boy. Having corsages made for my mum and OH mum and a smaller version for FG as she's got a basket with petals in. Myself and 4 bridesmaids will have bouquets
