Hi there, I 'm trying to figure out what kind of dress would suit me best as I'm worried that i'll look saggy or i'll fall out of it. My waste is 7 inches smaller than my bust so you can imagine what kind of trouble I'm having here. x

Go with something with support. I you need any other help get a bra. Or you could go for a dress with straps. I have boobs larger then my waist but if you go to a good dress shop they should be able to help you

hey, I am exactly the same 7inches between my bust and my waist. But most of the dresses, whether big ones or tight fitting ones will have some kind of support in them. i tried on a few dresses and didnt wear a bra with any of them (I'm 36E). Once you are all strapped in there is ample support. A good seamstress to do the final fittings will also make sure there is no danger of spilling out of the dress.

or go with a designer that has an in built corset. My dress has that, and its a Benjamin Roberts. No bra required!

I would say so long as you are not planning a destination style dress you should be ok.

I had the same problem hun.... my boobs are 30h.... I tried on loads of different neck lines etc and found that the sweetheart neckline looked a million times better than any other cut. Everyone is different obviously - but it's worth a try! :-)

yep, sweetheart neck with an a-line dress that nips in at the waist REALLY shows off the figure. The one advantage of having a big chest, it makes your waist look smaller! My dress gives me the perfect hourglass. Its beautiful on!

i had this problem, my waist is a 12, hips are a 10 but when i got measured for my dress, round my boobages was an 18/20! i found that the more fitted the waist is, and the bigger the skirt on the dress, the more it seems to put your body in preportion. or you could try something with lots of detail below the bust line i.e, on the wais or trailing down the skirt of your dress to take the attention away from your bust? if you want to see what i mean, there are pics on my profie, best ones are in my album called '''new stuff''
hope it helps a bit xx

my dress is very sparkly over the boobs, and the crystals kinda trail down about the waist and down into the dress. i dont mind drawing attention to my best asset!
All I need to sort out is the flabby arms and the back bulges! urgh!!

thanks mummyto2! thats the reason why i went for all my detail at the side, compared to the detail on the rest of the dress, the bustline is relitavley plain so your eyes arent drawn to big bouncy boooobies! even tough its a little daring, a sweetheart neckline is definatly better than something sraight across, or even a dress with straps as it can make your boobs look like they've been strapped in and have no room to breathe!
    xx

I'm 32G but size 12 and i decided I needed a dress with straps which I think I have found however like the others have said the sweetheart neckline is the most flattering shape for busty girls in my opinion and my second favourite dress was indeed a strapless sweetheart shape. I found Maggie S dresses the most flattering or Benjamin R both very supportive x

My boobs are a 30J but my waist is only a size 10 so I know exactly where you are coming from. I think a v neck is the most flattering as it kind of divides your boobs and stops it looking chunky. A sweetheart neckline does the same thing but is not so deep so I think that is better for medium boobs!

I would definitely recommend a dress with straps and wearing a bra underneath, I'm going to get mine from Bravissimo, that's where I get all my underwear and they have some stuff I think would be lovely for weddings!

As far as skirts go, my dress has a very full skirt which I think looks great because it balances me out on the bottom - the top half is very fitted so it gives me an hourglass shape, big boobs, small waist and then big skirt. If you are going to have a more streamlined dress, I think the styles that cinch in under the boobs - so it looks like you have a belt right under your boobs instead of at your waist - are the most flattering.

Check out bravissimo as well for honeymoon clothes, they do great swimwear and clothes with built in support for busty girls!

Maggie Sottero is a corsetier so all her dresses are amazingly supportive. I have a strapless Maggie S dress which has a straight neckline, going up slightly at the sides. My bust is 10" bigger than my waist and I never imagined I would be able to go braless, but it looks amazing and feels fantastic. x

You need to go and try some different styles on, it is too hard to say whether it will look right just by looking at it. i am (very) top heavy and the ones i thought would look silly on me really surprised me...... There is loads out there hun trust me :) xxx

As most have said-physically trying on the different styles will help you see for yourself what suits you. I've found sweetheart and v-neck work best for me. Shop assistants have always seemed really helpful and trying on dresses with someone whose opinion you trust helps! Underwear too.

With measurements 40-28-39 I wanted something that supported me in the right places so I went for a corset top to my dress designed for a bigger bust that I had made to measure and it fits perfectly without me feeling scared I will pop out, also it shows off my figure as it shows off my waist which usually gets hidden as well as reducing it to 26 inches comfortably as I wanted to breath : )

An added bonus is as it is a corset they made it so if in the next 9 months (as is my aim) I loose weight it can just be pulled a little tighter.
