    Hi girls,

I am specifically looking for an exercise I can do every day that will take only 2 minutes but will gradually tone my bottom :-)

Got situps and the plank for my tummy and push ups for my arms - just doing like 20 situps and 10 push ups a day. But I dont know what to do to tone my bum.

I've got down to a size 12 again and just need to lose another 9 pounds till I'll be happy but can see things need toning and bottom has become slightly cellulitey lol. Any tips for ridding myself of the dreaded orange peel? lol

Squats and lunges are the way to go, do one minute of each and you will feel the difference in no time!

I've got shape up shoes - just went for a 15 minute walk in them and I can really feel my bum and backs of my thighs and calves all the way down. It helps if you go for a walk with someone who walks faster than you to get going properly. I'm really out of puff now, LOL :)

Right, I can manage that :-) I'd rather do 10 minutes a day than go to the gym for 2 hours lol. Im not really into exercise unless its dancing lol.

I think I am going to venture to one of these flabelos machines....need someone to go with me though :-)

the squats and lunges I suggested are free! Plus if you get those hotpants that are mentioned on another thread, then they help you with inch loss and can smooth your skin too :-)

I can highly recommend the 10 minute solutions Belly, bum and thigh DVD! I got it for £5 (you can get it from tesco or amazon)! I used it for two weeks and cold see a noticable difference... it's split into 5 10 minute workouts and you can chose to do them in any order you want as many times as you want! After 10 minutes I was exhausted.

Vibroplates are also excellent, but the common misconception is that you just stand on them... you do need to exercise on them!

Lesley! I think I might have that DVD. I remember buying a 10 min exercise dvd yonks ago on amaznon and then never opening it lol....I will have to have a look!

Ive heard that about exercising on the vibroplates too.

I am going to check out this hotpant thread too :-) I'd love to have a bum that could pull off hotpants !

all you have to do for leg shaping though is squat a bit so it does your quads and then put one foot on and it and the other on the floor and just swap between if you just stand on it its overall conditioning and just mainly wiggles your cellulite i think. it makes you want to wee afterwards lol

that 10 min solution dvd is good but difficult to do on laminate lol

@ Rockabilly Chick - The Shape-up Shoes are pretty expensive unfortunately. I think mine were about 75 quid. Sometimes you can get them for less at a designer outlet. I got mine when there was only one well known brand. There are lots of other options now though so you might be able to get a different brand for less. I don't think it would matter which ones you get - it's the shape of the soles that makes the difference and all the ones I've seen are the same shape.

I'll have a look about :-) I'm gunna try the squats and stuff and see if that makes a difference. I live on the fourth floor so you'd think climbing all those stairs would help lol

I just had a very quick surf - the original Sketchers ones seem to be retailing at various prices starting from about 40 GBP. If you just search for "shape up shoes alternatives;co.uk" you should hit a number of sites that sell them, or something similar.

Before I get anybody's hopes up though at the effectiveness - I have not used them enough to be able to confirm that they make a visible difference. All I can say is that after 15 minutes of moderately brisk walking I could feel my muscles pretty well, so they must be doing something.

Do you have stairs? going up and down the stairs a few times will tone legs and bum. Can't get much cheaper than that.

Oh yes definitely! I can't believe how close Christmas is already!!! Maybe you could pick up some nice ones in the post-xmas sales (I'd say "January sales", but it's a long time since they waited until January to kick off, LOL).

I live on the fourth floor flat so got a fair few stairs, I just dont like my neighbours very much lol. Still would be worth going up and down them an extra time every day.....would that make a difference?

You could sprint past your neighbours' floor for some extra calorie burning...how's that for motivation?

Maybe go down them at a moderate pace, then go up them 2 at a time to really exercise your glutes and thigh muscles!
