We had a buffet, a knife and forrk sit down buffet, but it was still a buffet. Min numbers were 80, so we catered for that and we had about 80 in total which includes about 15 children. WAY too much food. So much was wasted and I felt awful about it. I hope the staff got to take some home as it was beautiful!

I would cater for 100% if it's the only meal. If you're having a wedding breakfast, and then an evening buffet, they usually suggest catering for 75%.

We're having a buffet main for our wedding breakfast and catering for 100% of our guests. I'm sure some food will be wasted, but I'd much sooner have food wasted than have guests go hungry or options run out.
