Hiya all u brides 2 b. I cud do with some assistance in giving me ideas 4 our wedding. We r planning on a registry service and party but with a buffet only. We have a budget of £2000 as we r paying it ourselves and with a mortgage and 3 kids, money is very tight. Any ideas on how 2 make ourday special wud b greatly appreciated. Thanx.x

hi Wendy We are having a budget wedding for about 3.5k but managed to find a venue that does a sit down meal for menu prices. I would def look at smaller venues. We are having our wedding and ceremony in a small restaurant/bed. The food is amazing and their prices are giving us much more than we were expecting. Our extra cost is due to having the register coming to us and the extra £200 to have the ceremony in the venue and they have to turn the room around from ceremony to meal. We could have had a buffet for a lot less. The evening is bacon and sausage baps, hips and wedding cake for desert to keep the price down. All bridesmaid dress are from Debenhams sales and were 50% and 70% off. for flowers I found a fab local florist which was much cheaper than anywhere else. I would ask around and you may be amazed at the things people can do. Ie flowers, cakes etc. I did all the invites, place setting and everything myself and wedding favours are a star named after every guest. I paid £20 online and can name and print over 1,000 stars. The are lots of bargains out there hun. x
