It was only on Saturday when my boyfriend proposed but we're eager to keep this engagement to a minimum! We want to have a small casual affair during the day and then throw a lively reception for 100 people which will include a buffet and music. I'm blessed with good friends so cake, DJ & photographer are sorted. My biggest concern is finding a winter venue on a budget and I mean a budget. We were debating registry office followed by a meal in a restaurant/hotel before going on to the reception. I'm willing to DIY but I'm not the most creative of people. I'm a romantic too so I want to create the perfect setting. Any ideas on where I can start and which Mancunian venues I can take a look at?

There's H0llin Hall, near Macclesfield, they have offers on Gr0up0n occasionally.
I know the Britann1a Hotels chain also do offers, and there's one in Manchester and one in Stockport (Offerton)

Have you thought about a town/village hall/sports hall pub function room etc?
Some pubs have free function rooms a well, so that could be worth a look into?

Lots of venue's offer a winter package deal with it being out of season. Have a google for winter wedding packages manchester. Seen one for a hotel called j u p i tar that may be of interest. xx
