It's not about the venue or the catering, it's about the couple, being together, so if thats what made them feel comfortable and happy then go them! ..

I saw this on four weddings the other week, and if I remember rightly they had buy one get one free on their main courses! Great idea, everyone enjoyed it.

It should be whatever the couple want, its about the marriage and as long as they are happy and that shows then everyone should be happy for them. Here here about the roasties xx

I wish I'd have thought of this. But I kind of enjoy the fact now that I won't have to suffer a sit down meal (my idea of hell is being watched whilst eating, so can imagine nothing worse than being sat in front of everyone) and can now have EVERYONE we want there to celebrate our marriage with us.

We have a 2-4-1 pub locally (very nice pub/restaurant) ... I have seen a couple of Weddings in there...not for me but, it looked nice and the couples looked happy..so, as it was THEIR day I reacon if it 'floats yer boat' go for it!

I'm having a carvery!! It's in a hotel that normally has a Sunday Carvery, but it's in our own room, not the restaurant! They are doing that, plus a choice of starters and puds (we choose before and have silver service for that) for £13 a head!

    Bargain!!

i think the best weddings are when the couple is happy, if this make sthem happy, go for it i would say. dont think any pub would want me turning up with 200 guest to eat there. no way lol.

Agree with Debz. Plus not everyone can afford really expensive sit down meals.

Years ago when I worked at Pizza Hut we can about 25 people come in and ask for a table (didn't book)... was only when they were all seated that the Bride and Groom turned up! Whatever takes your fancy I guess.

I think really so long as your both happy it doesn't matter where you have your reception. The hotel where we're having ours looks horrible from the outside but inside its gorgeous and we're getting a great deal so if it's what you want go for it! xx

I only want a cheap reception.. but the H2B is too classy :| I'm fairly common though, lol. cause the less we spend on the wedding, the sooner we can have a baby!! (I know I'm obsessed with having a baby) x
