For decorating, I'd just use balloons, covers the table with some nice linen table clothes, you don't have to over-do it or spend loads to make it look nice. I'll show you before and after pics of Fry's Club in Keynham it's mental the difference balloon make

Mrs Vlad, I've never done a cruise before so I was a bit wary as I don't like boats lol but I know loads of people who have been on the Azura and they have all said because its so big you don't even feel it moving, you can walk bout like your just walking the streets

yeh i was thinking of going for one of there balloon packages with the chair covers as im only gonna have 80 maybe not even that as theres big booths going round the room

I did notice though that you can hire fancy rooms at small prices at the council house and all sorts of places including university buildings such as the wills memorial building at the top of park street.

I hope you find something HP but social clubs, village halls and other clubs are really good places to decorate cheaply and have a good wedding celebration. They are what you make them so if you have fun people and throw a good do then you will have an amazing wedding no matter what your budget. My friend managed it so I am sure you can and she had hers in a church then her reception in a social club! xxx

hp I haven't read this all cos I want to go to bed but just a tought Poole Court in Yate, the registry office is absolutely gorgeous. Follow that with a place for eats and you're sorted! If you want somewhere nice there are loads of pubs/clubs etc but in Saltford there is a place called the riverside, avoid it! h2b's mate just had his wedding (not ceremony but the rest of it) there and the service was absolutely appauling. If it were me I'd be demanding all my money back!

If you like a little further away the cross hands in old sodbury do fairly cheap weddings and it is such a lovely little place and quaint! Don't know what the foods like now though last time I was there was about 14 years ago but they were lovely there :)

Hi hun congrats on your engagement my venue is banwell castle the wedding planner there is so good hes willing to work with you To see what you can afford based on the rough numbers we gave him were looking at under £2000 you get the use of keep gatehouse and courtyard plus the land for your pics its really beautiful the website is very out dated and doesnt do it justice at all but its worth emailling carmino and arranging a viewing. X

I can understand why photographer's can charge so much BUT I do think sometimes they do way too far!!
No, I'd like one but my OH is dead against it, he doesn't want a camera following us around. His brother has a video camera so we will just get him to film the important parts.

Well I'm having a civil ceremony now so not sure whether it can be video'd or not!

They are letting us drop numbers. So we can have 70 people during the day instead of 80 and it's about 2k difference. I have to ring Ashton Court and the registry office to sort everything out in the morning so hopefully it'll be easy to sort out!
