We're saving on a wedding breakfast getting married @ 12, photos then got Buffett, speeches etc then when evening guests arrive candy Buffett, choc fountain and cold Buffett, we saved on flowers, car is free a friends, were staying at mine the night before and I have a mobile hairdresser who I've known for years, I'm doing my own makeup, we had the venue half price as my hubby knows the owners, my Richard designs veil is gorgeous its 72inch with crystals I had it for a steal 60-172 lol my tiara was 15-90 Amanda wyatt shop was closing also had ring cushion and garter from there for 15! My dress was off the peg too so saved 500! The suits were buy 4 get one free! The photographer is 300 half the price with an unedited cd so were going to do our own wedding album. Were not bothering with a videographer, were having a decoration package too x

    Soo farrr

Venue - £2800 for 60 people, including meal, dj, drinks and ceremony.
Dress - Up to £220 including postage
Shoes - £20 Simple pair of kitten heels
Decor - £20 so far. Very DIY. Created own place markers from clay. Own ring cushion from materials. Own cake toppers from clay. Own wish tree made from branches and painted.
Transport - £70 - Just paying petrol as it's coming from Birmingham down to Somerset and back. The man is a good friend and colleague of my dad so he's letting us use his big green open top vintage bus for free!
Photography - Unsure on prices yet, but it's a good friend's son, so will be doing us a great deal.
Engagement Ring - Free. It was my mothers. So an heirloom.
Rings - Ebay job so unsure yet. Not going for expensive material no point.
Favours - £45 - Jars saved from pasta sauces, baby jars ect, filled with sweets and old material tops, twined wrapped around and hand made Eat Me tags from the cardboard toilet rolls. Main price is the sweets. Also Bird place makers are clay and people can take them home as well, to act as paper weights.
Bridesmaid - Up to £30 each, so a maximum of £150 for the 5.
Flowergirls - Up to £20 each, so a maximum of £40.
    Page Boys - As above - £40
Ushers/Groomsmen - Prim@rk job for suits - So again up to £30 each.
Groom's Suit - No sure yet.
Flowers - Doing my own so will be buying stems. Maximum of £50.
Bouquet - A rose bouquet from Asd@, add a few gerberas - maximum of £15.
Other costs- Splurge really, - Butterfly release - £120 Maybe a tiara not sure yet.

    Amount of guests - 60
    Day - Saturday
Month- 30th May - 1 day later and the price would of almost doubled!

    So Far: £3,620

Massive bargain hunter here, so will try and get everything reduced. Also have entered tons of competitions to get as much as i can for nothing. Will not take anything at the price they say at first, i will get it down!

Plus we are rather lucky, future FIL also wants to be involved and has thrust a £1000 onto us. So we will only be paying £2,620 so far.

    The shoes - £50
    The suit - £100 (buying)

Flowers - £150 (foam or real touch)
Cake- Included in wedding package, will prob pay upto an extra £100 to upgrade from the basic one tho

I feel doubly good about our budget now! Even though its still alot of money to us I think its worth it.

    dress: free, my mums one
    viel: £20 bay of e
Indian stylr headdress: £20 bay of e
grooms outfit: £200 so far but need shoes
    invites: £30
Cake: free, aunty is making it for us fingers crossed its nice!
Venue: £1600 for marquee including tables and chairs and lighting etc
    buffet and booze: £1500
    Photographer: 700
    Videographer: won! So free!
    Church with bell ringers: £700
    Bridesmaids dresses: 1 human @ £30 1 dog @ £20! Bay of e
ushers: £20 again dogs lol cos im mad
Favours: £300 but its a big pick and mix stand so people choose their own and stuff their face!

decorations: £150 made by me including fair ground stalls, guest book, centre pieces, games and prizes, flowers from my garden and silly signs everywhere

madly this has come in at just shy of £6000, I cant believe it. I was hoping more 4000. Luckily my mum and grandparents are helping out a huge amount. I already owe them everything, I guess they now own my afterlife as well! Very very lucky and grateful to have such a kind family.

Feeling very humbled by this break down of costs.

    Hi,
    Some really good bargains here!
I was wondering from those of you who got flowers from The Bay of E who you got them from; I'm looking for artificial flowers and they are cheapest on there but so many different sellers and worried about the quality.
Can anyone give me any suggestions at all?
