We were really happy thinking we found the perfect venue for the wedding and went there today and the meal and evening bits not in the manor but some separate area and they only hold 150 for evening which is 100 less than our guest list is at. Which means we need to find another venue plus looking around it I fell out of love with it :( problem is cant find anywhere I like so on abit of downer now x

awww I'm sorry you can't have the venue you set your heart on. You will find somewhere, and it will be meant to be hun. Go for a drive around where you would like to get married, see if you see any nice possible venues, go in and ask, keep searching and don't get too down hearted, you'll find the right one xx

Awww hun, you will find the perfect venue soon ................keep looking, it'll come along. I felt the same when I thought we'd found the venue for our reception after the Church ceremony, but after looking around, speaking to the sales girl and just getting a feel of the place it just wasn't right and H2B wasn't happy with it but, I did another search and we now have the perfect venue which in our view is far nicer and more exclusive than another venue down the road that hosts celebrities for far more money.

Maybe go and look at a couple that you don't think you would like, they might surprise you and you may fall in love with somewhere that you wouldn't have normally considered. But don't get too downhearted, you will find somewhere you love :) xxx

Oh dear, it is a bit rubbish when this kinda thing happens. You'll find somewhere though, this place obviously wasn't meant to be. I ended up booking a place I didn't even want to go and see from the look of their website but my mom had been there and only after a few momments like the one you've had did I give in to her and go and see it! I loved it and it was everything we wanted! So glad I listened to my mom and went to check out somewhere i'd overlooked! You never know what its like till you get there! x

Awww, that's annoying! If capacity is a priority, make sure you ask how many the venue holds when making initial enquiries / booking an appointment to visit, that way you wont end up falling in love with somewhere else and ending up disappointed again. Good luck! x

Aw sorry to hear it wasn't perfect :( but as lots are saying keep looking even ones you wouldn't think are nice visit them you may be surprised trust me we were always falling in and out of love with venues and then found the perfect venue but before we viewed it we actually thought it would be horrible just by chance they had a wedding fair we attended keep smiling you will find the perfect place soon I'm sure :) x

The church is in countryside so reduces places that we can look at for meal and evening reception. We looked at ones that I didn't think I'd like but the danger KEEP OUT signs kinda put me off lol. Guna sound silly but I'm not an outdoor person so marquee doesn't sound fun to me. But might result to it if can find somewhere I like. I know I have few years and that but I want to be organised x
