Just having a think and thought i would ask your opinions.
I am not buying shoes just yet for the bridemaids as obviously we dont know what shoe size they will be in a year....
However, there is quite a big age gap with my bridemaids. I have a FG who will be 4 when we get married, she will be wearing simple flat ballet pump type shoes and ivory dress with orange sash with a orange calla lilly wand.
My 2 bridesmaids will be wearing burnt orange dresses with ivory sashs matching, and matching rose bouquets in orange and ivory. I am stumped on what to do aout their shoes though, as ideally in my head they will be matching in shoes as well, but one bridemaid will be 16 by the time we are married, so we would be looking at a pretty grown up pair of heels, my other bridesmaid, my daughter, will only be 10 so grown up heels are not really appropriete.
The logical part of me says ah well different shoes no big deal...... but i have this idea stuck in my head that i want them to match.
I thought about a pretty pair of sandels they could both wear, but for a march wedding i dont want to be too optimistic lol..... so am thinking im kind of stuck with the idea of those little ballet pump style shoes as they suit all ages? But dont want h2b niece feeling frumpy in flat shoes with a calf length dress as she isnt the smallest most petit of girls.

I have told my bridesmaids to wear what they want, all the dresses touch the floor and i think its important they feel comfortable in them, so it doesnt matter to me what they wear. Plus this means its one less thing i have to buy :D

I'm letting my adult bridesmaid pick her own but I have no idea what colour shoes to put with a gold dress. I think gold shoes can look cheap. Bhs have some shoes with heels on designed for kids. They are more chunky so you could have them for the younger ones and the 16 year old?

My bridesmaids are all getting their own shoes - I told them to get whatever they want so they can stamp themselves on their outfits - although they're all pretty sensible!!! They vary in age from 7 - 27!! So could be a right mix!!!! I'm also having two dress lengths so they can choose which they prefer - 1 is floor length and the other is just below the knee, but they're the same material and colour!

what about kitten heels? would your 10yr old be able to manage those? That way she gets to feel more grown up and the 16yr old gets to wear adult shoes too
