i want my bm's to be comfortable in the day so was thinking of letting them have the shoes style they want as long as they have the same colour
my mum thought this was strange and that they should be matching, do you think same colour, different styles would look ok?

My 2 are having different shoes as a necessity but matching colours and very similar styles. They have the same dress but one is taller than the other and the dresses are the same length so the dress is too long for my shorter BM. She is having shoes with a 3-inch heel and my taller BM is having shoes with a 1-inch heel. xx

I'm going to do the same, I can't expect them to wear a dress I've picked all day and not be comfy in their own shoes. Also I'm a bridesmaid in september and wear getting to pick our own shoes.
I think it depends on how much control you want on the day and how much you want them to match in photo's!! :)

As a person who cant walk particularly well in heels, esp strappy weddingy shoes, I would totally appreciate being able to pick my own shoes if I was your bridesmaid. My bms are having long dresses so it doesnt really matter what shoes they have on but I know they'd pick shoes to go with the dress x

My bridesmaids will be buying their own shoes, so I think it would be unfair for me to tell them they all have to buy the same shoes. The bridesmaids dresses I got are long so no one will be able to see their shoes any way.

I have bought my 4 BMs their dresses so have asked if they can get their own shoes or even wear ones they already have. As long as they are silver i don't care what they are like. The main thing is that they are comfortable. I don;t get why people think they have to be matching! Also i was bm for my sister last year and we did the same, all just bought or wore our own ones x

Oh I wish my bridesmaids where wearing the same colour but as one of them has just gone and bought her shoes without checking anything I guess they are all going to be different lol.... well I can lol now I couldnt at first. The dresses are sort so the shoes will be seen and my idea was that they choose their own shoes but all get black (easy enough I thought) unfortunately she has picked a pair that dont even match the dress (although she thinks they do) anyway, its done now just have to wait and see what the pics look like!! But i answer to your question I think that as long as they all get a similar colour the different styles really dont matter x x

My bridesmaids are having the same colour shoes but can wear whatever height they want, i want them all to feel comfy, one of my bridesmaids really doesnt do high shoes, it would be evil if i made her wear them!! lol xxx

My bridesmaids are wearing any shoes they want to me, their dresses are floor length Anyhow as such you wont see them, if their short I think it would be best to have the same colour and the bridesmaids can choose the style/ heel height as some people don't like high heels n prefer lower heels n vice versa

my bms wore black shoes, all different. One had strappy sandals with a kitten heel, one had patent platforms and one had wedges. One of the reasons I shoxe the color was because it would go with black shoes and then I wouldn't have to buy shoes too as every woman has a pair of comfy black shoes in their wardrobe xx

I think it's ok. My friend had two bridesmaids at her wedding and their shoes were different styles but the same colour, it looked fine to me.

My BMs have different shoes in different colours, so long as they don't clash with the dresses I don't mind. I don't think anyone is gunna look at the pictures and say OMG i can't believe they're not wearing the same shoes.

originally i wanted them in whatever they wanted but i ended up buying them the same shoes. I did want to get them the same shoe in different heel heights as one is taller than the other but i decided just to buy all the same and then if the shorter one wants a higher shoe she can buy them which won't match but the colour will, she's the maid of honour so i could make an exeption there i guess
i just think it looks better matching but its personal preference i guess.
