Me and OH are having a discussion about how bridesmaids get to the church. OH said he's never been to a wedding where bridesmaids have their own car. He said why don't we just get my mum to drive their 4x4 up to the church with them in?

My sister got limo's for her and her bridesmaids and groomsmen ect. She said they wanted a classic car but they couldn't get everyone in. Personally I thought it was a bit silly and we always said we wouldn't get the bridesmaids a car or base our car on whether we could fit bridesmaids in ect. I think the plan was to get them a taxi if need be, but we ended up booking camper vans as that's what we really wanted and we can fit them in, so it's no longer an issue.

If you can't get them in the transport that you already have planned then I think someone driving them or getting a taxi is fine, I wouldn't mind that if I were a bridesmaid

iv been to weddings where the bridesmaids have had their own car but its expensive enough getting one wedding car let alone another one for the bridesmaids so I'm doing the same, my dad has a range rover and a old fashioned jaguar that he has spends the past couple of years fixing up so I'm just going to get my brother to drive the bridesmaids in one of those cars and put a white ribbon on it, its free and still gets the job done :-)

My mum, grandmother and bridesmaids all arrived in a limo paid for by hubby and I, then my dad joined them in that car from the church to the reception venue as obviously hubby and I were in the main car. It's a nice treat for them if you can afford it xx

We looked at cars for bridesmaids, mostly had trouble for the younger flower girls as they have to be certain heights and ages to travel without booster seats and the daimlers don't have seat belts!

So we booked a vintage london bus instead and others can travel to/from the church as well

I was looking into a v dub for my bridesmaids, I wouldn't have had them going over to the venue in their own cars, as it was we all got ready at the venue so didn't need one,

I am getting a car for me but bridesmaids will go in it first then it will come back to get me, I know it's not the traditional way to do it but it works out better for us x

If we travel to the venue then we will take my mum and my bridesmaids first, then come back for me and my dad. Ideally we won't be travelling to the venue as I want to stay there the night before, but won't know if we can do this until 4 months until the date as they may have someone else with exclusive use on that day/night. If we can't stay we will stay at a hotel not far from the venue so won't take long to make 2 journeys :)

We might be travelling in a camper (borrowing bridesmaids' dad's hopefully), but if not then we will just organise family cars to drive us there! x

I booked the room as single occupancy the night before as otherwise I would not have been able to get in until 230pm and seeing as the wedding was at 3pm. It worked out cheaper than hiring the cars so all good. Hubby stayed the night before as I had too much to get done at home, he loved it
