I just got engaged there but between myself & my partner we have four sisters! I would love a small wedding tho, so had thought of just my sister or a close friend who I've known all my life! I would have his sisters saying a poem & one singing, but would it be rude me not choosing them al as bridesmaids too? I've been to a wedding with four bridesmaids, four groomsmen/best man 2 flower girls & 2 pageboys but it was a nightmare esp for photos! What would yous do??

Normally the bride chooses the bridesmaids. My OH has a sister, but I'm only having my sister as bridesmaid. You could include them by having them do readings, but if I were in your shoes, I'd just choose my sister and your friend xx

have who you want to. Your bridesmaids are there to support you not because you feel obliged to have them. Just pick the people that you want there to help you prepare for the day.

the other can do readings/sign the register etc

I agree with Lindsey and Emily.

Do not feel obliged to have FSILs as BMs. The bride chooses who she wants as BMs to support her through the wedding planning and on the day.

If you want to include them in something then a reading or singing if fine. But don't feel obliged to give them a role.
