Hiya. I'm having a bit of a crisis now. Thought I was doing so well. I know my wedding isnt till next year, but I want to be super prepared. The issue I have is my bridesmaids will be 17 and nearly 13 and my flower girl 7 when we get married. They are all sisters and gorgeous with blonde hair. My colour scheme is ivory and lilac. I've found the most adorable flower girl dress which is ivory with a lilac underskirt. However I'm having problems with the bridesmaids. I cant possibly get two dresses to match due to their ages and their tastes being different. How can I work it so that they all match in a sense, even though they wont as I'd hate them to look all mismatched, plus I'd love to get the flower girl dress cos I've just fallen in love with it. Do I go for the bridesmaids both in lilac, but different dresses? or one ivory and lilac and the other all in lilac and both in ivory and lilac but again different dresses? God my head is cabbaged!!! (oh I need to mention I'm a bit of a symmetry freak!)
Any suggestions would be gratefully received as H2B says 'whatever you think darling'! I think I have no idea!!!!!!!
Thanks
Annelisa x

I have found a local dress maker up the road from me who is making both adult and teenage dresses. My flowergirl is in ivory. She is doing matching material but an evening style dress for my MOH and then something more suitable for the 10 year old. Its costing me less than if I ordered through a bridal shop too.

Ah thanks Jo, I didnt even think of seeing if they could be made. That would be ideal as they live in Liverpool and we in Essex, so If I could find a dressmaker up there, at least I would know they fitted right. Brilliant! Many, many thanks

A few bridal shops and websites I've seen do the bridal party as one kit and kaboodle, so have same colour/different style dresses to suit all ages.

The bridal shops are usually a lot more money though and you have to order a standard dress and then pay them extra to fit it. I was looking at £250 per bridesmaid from the shop.
Pressed post too soon.... and £80 to have them made to measure in a local shop who I have seen her work and know how good she is.

You could always see about having the younger of the two in an ivory dress with lilac sash, and the older one in lilac with an ivory sash - or vice versa! That way you can have them wearing different dresses but both tied in to your colour scheme :)
Now, finally, Mrs Riley
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
