I wonder if I could get some advice.

I am having four bridesmaids, one of which hates dresses. I saw an episode of "don't tell the bride" where they had one not in a dress.
I think this will great as she will stand out a little as my "maid of honour" and will also be comfortable. However, my wedding colours are Royal Blue and Ivory and I'm struggling to get her a female waistcoat to wear that won’t look awful or make her look like she works at a campsite.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

She will wear black pant suite back trousers and blouse. I just want her to look like she’s in the bride’s party and not a groomsman while being comfortable :)

I have pics of the other bridesmaid dresses etc but cant add them.

    Any advise please

Is she having her hair the same as the other bridesmaids? Will they all have something in their hair that matches? That will bring them all together.

I think it's a lovely idea and it's great that your thinking of your friend and want her to be comfortable on your day :)

I can't think how it will look, but have you tried going for a royal blue pant suit with ivory blouse or vice versa rather then the black pant suit? That way she will look less like the groomsmen and more like part of the bridal party and you don't have to bother with a female waistcoat.

I think that would look lovely with a bouquet

That's great of you to make her feel comfortable! How about a long skirt and shirt? I also agree about going with the royal blue and ivory colours. What about a sheer ivory blouse with a royal blue waistcoast and long skirt or trousers? Maybe give her and the bridesmaids matching shoes, or as DonnaH39 says - hair style?

The royal blue trousers and a nice ivory blouse sounds lovely. Who says she needs a suit jacket if you get her a nice enough blouse? Maybe a flower brooch matching your flowers will keep it feminine too.
