I have ordered yellow bridesmaid dresses (canary) but unsure what colour shoes to order. Any ideas anyone? They are for a 15 year old and a 23 year old. Trying to avoid gold.

I'd look in shops like new look - they're bound to have some cool shoes to go with the dresses :-)

I think another colour such as orange would look great, especially then if their bouquets were a combination of the 2 colours x

    Hi

I guess it depends on the style of the dress/wedding. If it's more classic then nude would look lovely. For a more modern feel you could use a bold colour for a more eye catching look. Xx

What about grey. If you type 'yellow dress grey shoes' into google then loads of examples come up, I think the colours go together well.

One of my bridesmaids is 15 and is quite hard to please as she is a teenager and is my OH daughter and she thinks she has a say on our wedding. I've asked her to send us a picture of some shoes she likes. (Link below) but they are more like something an 18 year old would wear on a night on on the town. Really not sure on them, I want her to be comfortable but I really not think they go with the dress.

I wouldn't go for those shoes if I was you hun. They are nice, but she is 15 and she will have to wear them all day!! They will kill her! And I shouldn't imagine your other bridesmaids would be too happy wearing heels like that all day too! Maybe try finding some that are similar but lower? xx

They are nice shoes but definitely not suitable really for a 15 year old and all day at a wedding!! Even I wouldn't cope in those ALLL day!
You could always find something similar? plenty of bridal sites offer BM shoes and similar designs to those. Or High street, like Debs & JohnLew and places like that have Bridal shoe sections.
or do what ive done, find a normal pair of shoes (mine were plain bridal shoes) and customise them with the gem style?
I'd found a pair of shoes with a gorgeous platform and heel but were way to high so I did a DIY job. and everyone on here have said they look good!! haha xx

Thanks, she really wants the shoes so if she ends up being crippled then that's her doing. Other bridesmaid is quite tall so wants to wear flats. Should bridesmaids where the same shoe? And have the same hair styles? X

those shoes are lovely i couldn't walk in them all day altho i remember a time when i could, teenage girls these days tend to wear pretty high shoes my friends daughter walks about in 4-6 inch heels when ever she goes out n she is only 14, before you buy them for her why don't you take her out somewhere in a pair of shoes that she already has with the same heel height and see how she copes walking about in them all day then i would decide from there, if she really wants them then i would suggest maybe's she saves her pocket money up and buys a flat pair of shoes that will co-ordinate with the dress for in-case her feet start hurting. x

I didnt have the same shoes as the other bridesmaids at a wedding once because they all wore heels and I wore flat shoes (I am 6ft tall). They were the same colour but not the exact shade and mine had a little diamanté thing on the side whilst the others were plain. Honestly no one noticed and if they did the whole ensemble went really well together anyway so it wasn't mentioned. Bridesmaids don't have to match exactly and you could always get them more comfy dressy shoes to change into for later. Like I said they don't all have to match exactly and for my wedding its a hair thing, one bridesmaid has really long hair and the other always keeps hers short. Me I'm thinking of just having mine in a modern bob style on the day and so we will all be different that way.
I would let the teenager pick her own shoes in the desired colour and let the other girls pick lower heels. It won't make much difference.
I went to another wedding once where the bridesmaids all wore high heels during the day and matching flat shoes towards the end of the night :-)
