Not sure if people have had a similar problem to me but thought I'd pick your brains! I'm having a real nightmare trying to pick my bridesmaids, I've moved around a lot over the years from uni onwards and while I'm lucky to have gained loads of fantastic friends over the years I don't really have any best friends or one or two that I know I would definitely pick without someone else feeling left out.
I know I'm giving myself too much of a hard time about it but it's really getting me down. We'd decided on numbers -four bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen as my OH already has his sorted. I know I could have less but as my family is much smaller than his my side is already looking a bit sparse plus I like the idea of symmetry for photographs.
Anyone had a similar dilemma or has any advice?

I sort of had the same problem. I was planning to have friends from school as bridesmaids, then we all drifted, then some from college and the same thing happened. I'm now having 4 bridesmaids who are friends from work. I picked 4 but one really let me down and we don't speak now, so I was left with 3. Like you I like the idea of symmetry in the photos so I have become really good friends with a girl at work who I am training and I asked her.
I put it down to the people I most get a long with but the people I know I will have most fun with. I've also taken into account that the girls all get a long together. Thre will always be people who will feel left out, but that's something you just have to overcome. X

Its so difficult I had the same dilemma in the end I decided to just go with my sister, I couldn't be dealing with any of my friends feeling left out. Oh is having one Best man and two ushers (One is his mate and the other is our nephew) The ushers wont be in too many of the photos so it should be fairly balanced :)
After 7 years and 11 months he proposed to me 18.10.13
Our son is 5 years old and our world
Getting married 15.08.15.
Life hasnt been easy but we have each other :)

I'm in the same boat. I've chosen my 2 closest friends from work, 1 male, 1 female. They haven't been involved with the planning, but I wanted them by my side on the day.
