I need help. We went to get the bridesmaid dresses for the girls today and it has all gone a bit wrong. Basically, when we went in my colour scheme was aqua and silver and yet we came out with 4 adult bridesmaid dresses in INDIGO! The girls did not like the aqua when they saw it and the silver made them look like jacket spuds! (I totally agreed with them and felt like I could not force them into wearing something they did not like or feel comfortable in) I wasn't too stressed about the change in colour until I got home and realised I had done ALOT more for the wedding then I had thought and it is all in aqua and silver. The husband to be seems to think we can easily add indigo to the colours but I do NOT want indigo on my cake. Any one got any ideas of how I can do it without it looking ridiculous?!!

You don' have to use every colour in every thing you have hun. My colours are midnight blue and fuchsia but apart from my bridesmaid dresses and seating plan being midnight blue, everything is fuchsia and my wedding cake is white, apart from midnight blue ribbon. You can make it work! Just have splashes of colour here and there xx

I agree with Melody, choose where you add the splashes of colour. Maybe you could have indigo flowers mixed in with your boquets or have some indigo in your table decorations.

Ahhh thanks ladies! I am thinking I might just have some indigo on the tables too and leave it at that!

There is no rule to say you have to have a colour scheme or use one colour more than once. You could use indigo as your favour boxes, or scatter petals, it really doesn't matter. As long as the colours you use go together than its fine hun! xx

I actually prefer your new and improved colour scheme! There's no way anyone you know will have this and it so goes together :)

Indigo and aqua actually go great together, maybe you can get aqua ribbon sashes for the girls?

Just add the indigo into the invitations, or flowers

my main colour is blue but im hoping to have lots of colours in my bouquet! if not then pink and ivory and i will have silver touches here and there! theres no harm in just having their dresses in indigo and leave it at that! im sure u will find a way to tie it in but just remember it doesnt have to be included in the colours everywhere! x

We don't even have a colour scheme. Everything is neutral except for my flowers which are bright colours.
